"Anyways is the kind of EP a band releases when they have nothing left to prove, and The Starting Line certainly don't. They've already established a legacy that is pretty much untouchable within this music community, no matter what music they decided to put out, if new music ever existed at all. It certainly helps, however, that The Starting Line have released an EP so passionate, so heartfelt, and so encapsulating of their collective personality, long after anyone ever expected to hear new music from them again." This band means more to me than any other band in music, past or present. Their commitment to their fans, integrity, legacy, and most importantly, the music, is unparalleled. They waited to release new material until they felt they had something fresh and different to contribute again. I would argue that this EP is better than anything any pop-punk band has put out in the past 9 years since they left. Listening to these songs not only reminds me of being 16 years old crowd surfing at Warped Tour, but what it means to carry that youthful feeling with you all these years later. Thank you @thestartinglinerock for doing something for the fans. I truly hope this will be something that happens again soon.

Some recent updates from the band. Our song “Above It Now” will be popping up on Spotify soon and we’ll be debuting a lot of new material at shows this year. Last year was great as we kicked everything off and got to feel what it is like to play live again. Looking forward to the fun ahead :)

Top 10 Albums of 2015

It's so interesting to see how I've come back to pop music over the past year. Admittedly, I didn't listen to too many of the pop albums on the list repeatedly the whole way through. However, the singles, in particular, really stuck. 1. Kendrick Lamar - To Pimp a Butterfly 2. Carly Rae Jepsen - Emotion 3. Man Overboard - Heavy Love 4. The Maine - American Candy 5. Death Cab for Cutie - Kintsugi 6. Chvrches - Every Open Eye 7. Bea Miller - Not An Apology 8. Ellie Goulding - Delirium 9. The Weeknd - Beauty Behind the Madness 10. Justin Bieber - Purpose
