I've been away trying to avoid spoilers for a game + on a vacation, but now I'm done with the game and back from my trip!! It feels like forever since I've drawn anything lol

Sabaidee Pi Mai! (Happy New Year!)

I've been wanting to draw Gaius being symbolically washed of his misfortune for the new year. This is an actual tradition for actual Boun Pi Mai (New Year Festival)! It's a very lively time to go around blessing people by splashing water on them lol

The water can be scented with fresh flowers and/or fragrances. :3

After working on this on and off since (checks notes) Feb 21, it's finally done!!! There was a lot of down time waiting for stuff to dry before I could move on to the next part... it simultaneously feels like I have and have not been working on this that long LOL

Looots of trial and error as I did not know the first thing about assembling and finishing a kit before buying this one. I spent a lot of time researching everything to figure out how I wanted to approach it. I'd do a bit differently in the future, but I had SO much fun working on this as my first project!! There IS a gold version of Heirsbane... 👀

I'm pretty sure most of my time on this project was on sanding and filling LOL

A band of Makoh'tos inspired by the Dawntrail MV!

I pulled some stills I liked for reference. :3 Makoh'to is wearing all his official glams through each expac! From left to right: SHB+ENW, ARR+HW, Post-ENW, DT, and STB.

I listened to the mv on loop while working on this. When I heard it premier at FanFest I thought the sound was very Makoh'to-core! I feel it even more now :3

Gaius and Makoh'to in bunny outfits!! Makoh'to canonically owns his outfit. Gaius... well, he is not immune to /prettyplease.

The very rare fullbody and colored stuff I choose to do will always perplex me but I had a lot of fun once I got to the lighting/shading stage lol. I had to flag this on birdsite bc it auto sniped it 😔 but it should be fine here!

A companion piece to the reverse (and purple!) one of Makoh'to about to smooch Gaius. Gaius would only ever do this behind closed doors. He would die of embarrassment otherwise. 🧍‍♂️

Drawing my own WoL is always so fun. :3 Drawing Gaius making a kissy face was interesting and reminded me I have the power to do whatever I want 🤔

I found a new Gaius song to add to my Mewlsar playlist and listened to it on repeat while scribbling this. Unrelated to the song tho lol but this was the image I was beamed while listening to it 😊

Feels like it's been a while since I drew them... I don't have the time right now to sit down and draw them all evening so please accept this scribble I did when I should have been working lol

[Gaius 20cm Doll Update]

I just got the initial photos back from the manu! He's in need of revisions but I can show you this part at least! I won't be making any changes to his face since they accurately recreated my vision here. :3 Note the grey hair embroidery for the stubble and hair, hehe.

Now I begin the journey of noting revisions needed and communicating them. The things I do for love 😂
