April collapsed next to Jon on the couch, her head immediately resting on his shoulder while her eyes closed. “It only took 5 different books and 2 songs but Damon finally fell asleep.” She mumbled.
“I do.” She leaned up to kiss his cheek. “Totally meant to say your voice is angelic.”

Jon sighed. “Why didn’t you call me? I could’ve helped.” He responded quietly, holding her close.
April opened her eyes and looked up at him. “ ‘Cause your singing voice would have scared him.” She joked.

“Of course I am. What about you? Are you missing it?“he chuckled as he felt Harley’s face against his beard
April scrunched her nose up and kissen Damon on the forehead who was playing with pieces of her hair. “Eh, not so much. There’s always going to be certain aspects of it that I miss, but y’know…” She shrugged and looked back to Jon. “I still like tagging along with ya every once and awhile.”
“ what are you going to do with me home full-time?” He asked as he handed over Harley and took Damon.
Harley was staring off at some people working behind the scenes and AJ just kept her arms around her. “Probably write in complete peace...or just annoy the hell out of you.” She joked.
“Of course I am. What about you? Are you missing it?"he chuckled as he felt Harley’s face against his beard
April scrunched her nose up and kissen Damon on the forehead who was playing with pieces of her hair. “Eh, not so much. There’s always going to be certain aspects of it that I miss, but y’know...” She shrugged and looked back to Jon. “I still like tagging along with ya every once and awhile.”
Jon was preparing for his match, throwing on his Shield vest when he heard April and Harley coming up behind him
Harley got to Jon before April could while Damon rested on her hip. “Daddy! You’re wearing a vest again!” Harley shouted happily before reaching her hands up, clearly wanting Jon to pick her up. AJ laughed and smiled at him. “She’s had a lot of sugar. She’s all riled up.”
Jon picked up Harley and chuckled. “Yeah. I get to be a part of the Justice friends one more time. It’s so much fun.” Jon walked over and kissed April. “How are you, momma?”
Damon clapper and AJ laughed again before she kissed Jon. Harley made a face and AJ leaned over to kiss her cheek. “I’m doin’ alright. Just been keeping these two out of trouble.” She raiser an eyebrow at Jon. “How are you doin’? Excited for tonight?”

April was cuddled up on the couch with her husband. She had her arms wrapped securely around Jon while her head was resting on his shoulder. “I wish you didn’t have to leave Monday morning.” She mumbled softly.
“I know babe. I miss you and the kids when I am on the road, but you know I get cabin fever and need this.”
“I know.” April said simply, her head nuzzling against him.
Jon sat up in bed unable to sleep. Not wanting to wake up April, he quietly turned on some music and put on some headphones. “It’s just one of those restless nights. Why should anyone else be bothered?” He thought to himself.
April felt the bed shift. She was typically a heavy sleeper, but something that always woke her up was the tiniest amount of movement from Jon. She didn’t open her eyes at first, AJ just rolled over and wrapped an arm around his waist while grumbling.
April was cuddled up on the couch with her husband. She had her arms wrapped securely around Jon while her head was resting on his shoulder. “I wish you didn’t have to leave Monday morning.” She mumbled softly.
Jon was back on the road which meant he was so grateful to be back home. Which also meant he was back to missing out on the kids so he was running an emotional gauntlet by the time he got home for the first night since returning. He briefly checked on the kids and then went to his room to see April.
“Ugh. I’m beat.”
April was happier than ever that Jon was back in the ring, but of course that meant herself and the kids were missing him like crazy. It was only a couple nights, but they missed him regardless. The second he walked through the door she jumped up and wrapped her arms around him. “I missed you too.” She said with a laugh.
April ran her hand over his hair and couldn’t help but smile. “Your hair looks good. They’re just jealous you look hotter than they do.” She said. “Harley would’ve gladly cut it.”
Jon was back on the road which meant he was so grateful to be back home. April hugged him harder and nuzzled into his neck. “Nope. You’re stuck. You can’t leave.”

April crawled over so she was in his lap with her arms around him. In her eyes, an effective way of trapping him. “You’re not leaving me!” She cried out with a grin.

April messed his hair up. “Oh how the tables have turned.” She said with a laugh.
