i came home from work and made my first watercolor painting. it's not great, but i enjoyed myself and i'd like to try it again soon. thank you and have a great evening.
@idiotpull, @reverse_shark_attack, and myself spent the last few months of 2015 building out our own screenprinting shop. very excited to announce that @ghost_press is officially up & running, and ready to screenprint your next project. 👉 ghostpress.co
i'll be overhauling my online store in the coming weeks to make room for a bunch of new work, so if you see something you like on ryantroyford.bigcartel.com, use the code GTFORTF at checkout for 50% off your entire order. i recently found a couple outtakes from my John Muir motorcycle print, so i put those up there as well. thank you all for paying attention to what i do, and for another excellent year. i'm very excited for what's to come in 2016. have a safe and excellent new year!
submitting my first painting to an art show next month. turns out painting is fucking hard.

i spend my days trying to become a better designer, and my nights trying to become a better artist. often this includes me overthinking, overanalyzing, and needlessly complicating things. my grandfather, Bobby Ford, was an engineer & mechanic. while looking through his old toolboxes, i came across this brand he had made of his initials. he may be gone, but today i'm appreciative of the reminder he left me that sometimes, it's best to just be simple.
made a shitload of hashbrowns for breakfast, sketchin' some fancy pets for my pals, listening to @vnm_horsebites on @aidpodcast, enjoying the nice rain with the windows open. everything's comin' up ryan.
