12 playlists of the zodiac
the current astrological climate has been a great time to delve deeper into my study of astrology (sun in cancer = emotional sensitivity, outpouring of emotion; mercury rx = new perspectives on the past). one of the ways i’ve done this is working on the playlists i’ve created for each sign.
below each link i’ve listed the themes/phrases i associate most strongly with each sign and a few of the featured artists who have strong placements in that sign. the playlists include songs that deal with the themes of a sign even if the artist/composer doesn’t have major placements in said sign. all playlists are designed to be played on shuffle.
i recommend working with the music in the following ways
- use the cancer playlist to do a little emotional excavation, have a good cry, and celebrate the romantic, protective, nurturing, mysterious, dramatic archetype of the crab while we’re in the thick of it over the next few weeks. i’ve listed it first for your convenience :)
- click your sun sign and bask in a feeling of understanding and solidarity with those who share some basic elements of your personality. same goes for your rising sign.
- if you’re ready to expand beyond your sun & rising signs, i think these can be used to explore all inner planets as well: moon, mercury, venus, and mars. think about your emotions & desires when exploring your moon & venus, and think about your actions & communication when exploring your mercury and venus playlists.
- if you listen to them all and your favorite playlist is NOT the one based on your sun sign, have a look at the house and placements in that area of your chart. perhaps your moon or rising has a stronger influence than the sun because of certain aspects or rulerships.
- just enjoy them without thinking about them analytically…sounds fake to me as a gemini but could be fun i guess!
