I’m tired of hearing people call Ikea furniture “low cost" and “throwaway”–we aspire to be able to afford Ikea furniture (of course, part of our barrier is that we’d have to have it $hipped), and knock-down furniture is often very durable if it’s assembled properly.

I LOVE Ikea furniture. The way it looks: crisp lines, solid colors, easy to clean; that I can put it together myself…Love it.

Don’t love the $$hipping, though. Years ago I bought 4x Billy book cases costing $14/ea and the shipping on top was another $125.

Anyone who calls Ikea furniture “low cost” has never bought this goddamn many bookshelves.

I cannot stress this enough for the 2016 election

If Bernie loses the primaries: YOU STILL MUST VOTE

Tumblr’s become so attached to Bernie that I’m not sure y’all are still gonna vote in the election if he loses. I will vote for him, I know most of you might too, but we must still be prepared for something like that :/ I know it would mean that you will have lost the one candidate you believed in the most. I know it will possibly mean voting for Hillary over the Republicans, when all of you don’t like her that much, I understand, believe me.

BUT HERE’S WHY YOU STILL VOTE:

1. Because are you going to give the Republicans a greater chance of victory?

2. Not voting means you are still deciding who has a better chance of winning in the election, don’t be fooled.

3. BECAUSE BERNIE WANTS YOU TO.

Seriously, he released a whole video on how “elites want big money to dominate the political process” and this:

And he KNOWS they don’t want that. You will not be making a positive change if you don’t vote, hence he is saying you will make the problem worse, if you avoid voting.

This is not only for this election. It is 2016 and beyond. Don’t forget that, please.

We are the tipping point. Please remember that.

EVERY FOUR YEARS they say we’re at the tipping point.  Meanwhile, the Democratic Party (which isn’t democratic, google superdelegates) throws more and more conservative candidates at us.  They use the Republicans to blackmail us into voting for the lesser evil, still loyal to Wall Street.    As Glenn Ford of the Black Agenda Report calls them, they are the more effective evil, because they get away with stuff (like Obama did with TPP) because liberal opposition is muted.

What you see here is the classic self depreciating “nice guy” how dare a woman and her friends dress up all nice and go out to have fun with their friends without giving you, a complete stranger, any play. How dare women dress up and have a good time for themselves and not dress up and slink around for your enjoyment. “Its to feel fucking superior” Well I know its surprising, but chicks don’t always go out clubbing in the hopes of getting sexual action. Maybe they are not attracted to the opposite sex? But that doesn’t matter to you because you think that if you go up to a woman and ask her to dance like “a gentleman” then she is required to grind on you like there is no tomorrow. 

valid reasons for a woman to dress up and go out but reject you:

1. She already has a partner, and just wants to have fun with her friends.

2. She just broke up with her partner and doesn’t want to meet anyone right now.

3. She’s lesbian, asexual, or otherwise not attracted to men.

4. She enjoys fucking random strangers, but not you.

5. She enjoys meeting new people, but you’re a total creep.

6. Literally anything else.

Plus, just think about the reasoning on display in that image. The fact that she spent a lot of money on her outfit and makeup establishes that she owes you something? That’s like arguing that an artist ought to pay you because you looked at her work. It’s Bizarro World logic. I’m not being hyperbolic there; that is literally how logic works on Bizarro World.

I always figured that the girls that did this (assuming for only 1 second that the info on the pic tells the story) merely internalized what society told them all their life, that they need to look good to be worth anything.  So they spend hours and money on their looks to feel good about themselves.  Which is too bad that they need to do that much work to feel good, but it's still entirely their own business and nothing to do with you.
