‘‘I’m afraid I am, sorry ‘bout that.’’

For real, it was already a nice thing that Haise was back home, but seeing him so happy because of the puppy, was absolutely heartwarming. So, because Hide was so focused on his significant other (and the still small dog), it took a minute or so for the inquiry about the dog’s name to register. And when it finally did, the faux blond stuttered a bit when he tried to answer.

‘‘Ah, no, she doesn’t. I couldn’t really think of a fitting name for her yet. I’ve actually gotten her barely a week ago, actually.’’

Still, Hide couldn’t smiling like the happy dork he was because the person whom he loved with all his heart had returned home safely after so long. For real, he could just embrace the other and never let go again just because he was so happy to see him again.

‘it’s fine--- i don’t mind it !! i love dogs, actually. as much as i love cats !! so it’s nice having a pet in the house.’ he smiled and kept petting the dog’s head. ah, the feeling of being back and then this surprise; it was great. and right now all he wanted was to hug his boyfriend again. but the dog seemed to not let go on haise and he had to chuckle about it.

‘how about hime, mh? like she’s a little princess right now. it’s just a suggestion though.’ that being said he got up and pulled his lover for a tight and loving hug.

Certainly, after hearing that all too familiar voice he had not heard for quite a while, Hide couldn’t get out of his chair any faster than he did now in a rather futile attempt to catch up with the puppy. But at seeing that the small dog was awfully friendly towards Haise, the blond couldn’t help but laugh. It was a cute sight to see, after all.

‘‘Heh, glad to know she likes you.’’

Walking over and carefully taking the puppy from Haise’s hands to set her back on the floor a meter or so away, Hide walked back over to the other before sending a warm-hearted smile his way.

‘‘Welcome home safe and sound, Haise~ Glad to know you’re doing okay.’’

And surely, the small dog barked and wagged it’s tail at the investigator happily before striding back over to him and nudging his hand as a way to ask to be petted.

when his ears received the voice of a certain person he looked up with a smile. oh, he was so happy to see him again; his beloved sunshine, hide; the one whom he learned to love. it has been a good while, and since then sasaki wasn’t ever been happy since now.

❛hide !! are you responsible for this?❜, he inquired. not that he was against a pet; he LOVED pets, be it cats or dogs. maybe it was supposed to be a surprise whenever haise was coming back home. like it seemed it worked pretty well.

he smiled and ruffled the dogs’ head. ❛does she have a name?❜, he inquired his boyfriend, enjoying the dogs’ happiness and laughed before he looked at hide.

it felt like an eternity saying this, and he really was happy to be back home. after all the hassle that has been happening the past days--- all nighters, sleeping in the office, he got now his well deserved free time. and oh goodness, had he missed hide. he certainly hoped he didn’t worry his boyfriend too much; at least he tried to send a message everyday when he didn’t have the opportunity to meet up with him.

but then suddenly when he entered the hallway he heard a barking sound echoing from the kitchen. since when did he have a dog? what happened? and before he could even realize everything was there a dog running at him and jumping at him before the dog licked his face.

‘o-oh, hey !!’ he laughed and tried to pull him away as he realized that it was indeed a dog; a shiba inu to be precise. ‘why hello there, little guy !! and who are you?’ he asked with a grin.
