Ultimo Coffee

Yesterday I visited one of the Ultimo locations in the Graduate Hospital neighborhood. I stepped into the coffee shop filled with vibrant vibes and minds at work. Something I always look for when checking out a coffee shop I haven’t been to is the type of atmosphere it holds. Some days I prefer a small, quaint place to get away to focus on things I want to get done. While on other days I look for a coffee shop where I can meet with friends and share and make some memories. Ultimo Coffee provides the best of both worlds for me, which almost feels like hitting the jackpot.

Chapterhouse Cafe & Gallery Today is a great day because I finally found a coffee shop that is opened late (10pm) and serves ice coffee for less than three dollars, which is rare to come across these days. Chapterhouse has two floors of seating, giving guests plenty of room. Both floors have a few different rooms, each with their own personality. Upstairs there’s more light flooding into the cafe, while downstairs it’s dimmer, with a warmer feel to it. What stood out the most to me is the feeling of community at Chapterhouse. All of the guests seemed eager to get to know the people around them better in a genuine manner, making my time at Chapterhouse exceptionally noteworthy. 

Rocket Cat Cafe In between the neighborhoods of Kensington and Fishtown is Rocket Cat Cafe, home of vegan treats, one of a kind artwork, and some of the kindest baristas. Grab a seat by one of the windows, it’s perfect for people watching on Frankford Avenue. Best of all there are couches that are meant for lounging or snuggling that make you feel right at home.

Peddler Coffee Sitting on the corner of 21st and Spring St. is Peddler Coffee. Its front exterior stands out from the rest of the block, with its large windows and sleek signage. The wooden tables stole my heart as soon as I walked in, along with the brick wall. As the sunlight poured into the coffee shop, many people walked in and out, excited to enjoy a cup of Peddler’s own roasted and brewed coffee, named Alchemy. Peddler Coffee was exactly what I needed to get me energized and excited for the week ahead.
