Your P.O.V

Josie loved the park, it was her favorite place to go and you always liked to bring her there. It did get a little tiring trying to keep up with an energetic 4 year old however, and so you were currently taking a break on the bench close by.

You watched as a blonde boy of similar age went over to your daughter, asking if she wanted to play with him and Josie quickly accepting. It was nice to see this as, after having recently moved here to get away from all the shit that happened with Josie’s dad and your own family, she hadn’t really had a chance to make many friends yet. Hopefully this would be the start of the both of you settling in.

You looked around trying to locate the parent of this young boy when your eyes landed on a man with dark hair and a moustache. He was wearing a kutte which you assumed was the motorcycle club that a lot of the locals had been talking about. When you stopped staring you realised that he was looking right at you and was beginning to walk straight towards you.

“Hey doll, that your daughter?” the man asked.

“Yeah, I’m Y/N, assuming that’s your son?”  you stuttered in reply, too consumed on how attractive he was up close.

“Tig and no, no, I’m babysitting for a friend.” Sitting down next to you, he stuck out his hand to which you accepted, shaking it softly.

“Well I was wondering why he looked nothing like you” you grinned at him as he grinned back.

“You planning on giving me my hand back anytime soon?” he cursed, quickly releasing your hand as you chuckled at his awkwardness.

“Shit sorry doll I must’ve been distracted, ” There was a short silence before he spoke up again “Couldn’t help but notice your left hand is looking a little blank, you’re not married?” he questioned, watching your reaction closely.

“No, I’m not with the father anymore, let alone married to him, I - uh - moved here to have a fresh start, away from him.” You looked down at your hands whilst saying this.

“Well-” Tig was interrupted by a small voice in front of the both of you.

“Mommy, I’m thirsty” Josie stood there, next to Abel.

“Do you want some juice baby? I think there is some in the car, what is the time anyway?” You wondered, checking your watch, “Oh! Josie we’ve got to go,” - It was quarter to 4, “The last of the furniture is due to arrive at our house at 4” You explained as your saw Tig’s confused face.

“But mommy I want to play with Abel!”

“Well I’m sure you’ll see him again another day when we come back okay?” This seemed to be enough to make Josie happy as she gave a quick hug to Abel before taking your hand.

“Hey, before you go, take this. It’s the number for the garage I work at just in case you have any problems you know - with your car. I’m there most of the time a-and Abel too sometimes so Josie can see him.” Tig rushed out as he handed over the number for the mechanics. You smiled at him, you were sad that you didn’t get to talk more but now you knew you would see him again.

“Thanks, I’ll come round at some point for sure. Nice to meet you, sorry for having to rush off!”

“It’s okay doll, I’m glad I met ya, now go before you’re late!”

You picked up Josie and walked as fast as you could to your car hoping to make it in time for this delivery yet all you could seem to think about was Tig.

Maybe this really was the start of the both of you settling in.
