(Another Christian Pulisic post because I’m sad 🙃)

Dortmund was just such a big part of Christian’s life. He threw away his friends, family and basically everything he knew in Hershey to play in black and yellow and he succeeded. After five amazing years, he’s leaving. He’s already played his last game as a bee. It’s so hard to accept that one of our greatest products, one of our best players, are leaving. It’s hard for every single brick in the Yellow Wall to accept. It’s hard to cope with for every single fan who’s ever sang ‘You’ll never walk alone’ for Dortmund. Hell, it’s hard for him to believe. I’m just glad that we made this last season memorable for him.

Chelsea better know how good he is. If he’s stuck on the bench there, I’m going to freak. After all that Christian’s been through, leaving his entire world behind despite being a kid and breaking through the ranks at one of the best clubs in Germany is inspiring. He had to study in classes that he barely understood. He had to learn a completely new language. He had to make new friends. He hated it, the first few months that he was in Germany but now, five years later, he’s crying over having to leave.

That’s why Chelsea are so lucky that they got him. He is a great person to have on their squad. Not only does he have skill when it comes to providing, but he knows what he’s doing. He may not have the best finishes but he’s better at other things. I’m glad that Chelsea relised that his talent was being wasted as a sub and they decided to buy him. I hope he doesn’t end up being a bench-warmer there as well.

He’s the captain of the USMNT and he fully deserves to be. Even though he’s not as tall or strong as other players, he’s just as talented. That’s why the EPL better watch out for das American.

I accepted that the season was over for us a long time ago, but despite the disappointment of being so close to winning the Bundesliga I just want to remind everyone of some of the positives of this season:

• Marco Reus’ first season as captain and he managed to not only do a great job but also remained healthy for the majority of it, while proving he can be consistent on the field.

• Roman Bürki’s complete transformation from last season. From his attitude to his improved form, he really was a game-changer for us and I couldn’t be happier.

• Jadon,Paco, Axel and Thomas fitting into the team like they’ve been playing with us for years and constantly giving us depth as well as assists and goals.

• Mario Götze finally being completely healthy and finding his way back into the team, despite him having to play a different role now, and adjusting wonderfully. It was honestly so good to see him prove himself once again and I couldn’t be more proud of his work ethic and dedication

• Favre’s first season with us has been tremendous, especially after we went through so many coaches and none of them really worked out. His overall attitude has been great and you can clearly see how much the players respect him and are willing to follow him
