She is so professional and sweet and genuine. She listens to everybody. She empathises, she tries to understand. She tries to make a stand for what she thinks is morally right. She wrote the only articles to be RTd hundreds of times for TheLoo and POI. Because they were quality and because she was inclusive and talented. And it’s professional of her to act like that when her ‘bosses’ are in fact petty, inconsiderate and - I’m not exaggerating - stalkers.

For anyone unaware. This is the ignorance and selfishness my friend had to put up with and is being so professional and calm on twitter. But the above is the truth. They stalked us all. They treat and view Nico and fandom as garbage. They did this so callously just 1 day after the paramedics. One. Day. Unfollow Talk nerdy with us. Further discussion and personal messages are indicative now of racially-fuelled action at Nico, which resulted in this, because there has been multiple instances of such behind-the-scenes at that outlet. However because this conversation was with a personal friend, we respected that and didn’t take it. But the evidence is there; the evidence is also there that this company brushed off black writers in order to give, unfortunately, elshit interview opportunities- to shows she didn’t watch- which the black writers did. Furthermore, they consistently put these writers’ articles of original content into the trashcan whilst publishing elshit’s “fandom speaks” (please don’t check the website, it’s not worth your time. It’s basically- she publishes some biased asks she received, no critical commentary, passes it off as an ‘article’). The company bosses were pissed at Nico for supporting and requesting, not coercing, people to donate to a gofundme (if they wished, she very clearly stated) for her friend. Who was black.

Clexakru, I will be very honest with you.

It has come to our attention that some people are complaining and refusing to help with targeted trends towards Jason, The CW and Mark Pedowitz because the movement is bigger than ‘just a show’.

That is correct, the movement is much more than just a show. The movement was created to change LGBT representation in media as a long term goal. To get to a long term goal, first we need to achieve our short term goal.  

Our short term goal is to shed light on the issue, to demand Jason and The CW to take responsibility for their actions and be held accountable. The CW and Jason need to be used as an example that we won’t quietly accept being queerbaited, triggered and disrespected. The industry needs to be aware that we won’t be silenced anymore, we won’t accept whatever they are throwing at us.

So I ask again the ones who do not support calling out Jason and The CW, do you plan to achieve change by screaming into a void? Who will you be talking to? Why would anyone take responsibility for something they are not directly involved? From the goodness of their heart? How to you expect to achieve any changes if we can’t even get an answer from the CW?

Also, for those worried about the cast ‘complaining’ about the movement. I will be straight forward to you: Are we going to stop the movement because the secondary cast is bothered by it? They are probably complaining because of the negativity that has been surrounding the show and the possibility of the show end up being canceled.

Even if the show do gets cancelled, consider what I’ve just told you about our short term goal: CW and Jason taking responsibility and be held accountable for the mess they’ve made. Who’s fault will really be?

My issue with the CW targeted trend is the wording of it, not that it targets The CW. If we trend “The CW Supports Inequality”, you’ve effectively lost the message you’re trying to send and in the process would push away allies. Regardless of what their stance is on equality, and I’m very aware of their statistics across the board, the point is people will point out ways that The CW isn’t and completely disregard what you’re trying to accomplish with that trend. It’s as simple as that. 

I get people are angry. I get that it’s frustrating that The CW hasn’t responded yet, but there has to be better targeted trends. So, again, I’m not opposed to going after The CW or Jason, I’m opposed to potentially walking into a trap with the suggested trend. 

There have been some really great trends in the last few weeks, don’t let anger cloud that.
