The fact that Ashton was the only one to come back out on stage to explain the situation actually says a lot about it. Calum and Luke were probably panicking too much to stay composed enough to talk to the crowd. Ashton probably stepped up and took control long enough because he probably feels that since he’s the oldest, he needs to be the calmest in that type of situation.
