After 10 minutes of episode associating Link with labubu for being kind hearted and meaning well but always screwing things up and being accidentally unhelpful, Rhett saying she's in it for the long game don't trust her she'll turn on you felt pointed. Link got an itchy nose in this moment and didn't engage with what he said in any way so I think he took it as targeted at least.
I rewatched closely. TBH I think Rhett was just making up a scenario about Labubu being ultimately evil because she does look sinister. I watched Link and if you notice his microexpressions (he does some little lip and nose movements like the ones when you itch but don’t want to scratch), it looks like his itch had started before Rhett said that, so after a while he couldn’t help it and scratched his nose. And it seemed his itch persisted a little afterwards as well. My understanding is that he was genuinely itching. Not that I reject it could be a code entirely, but only if he was crazy smooth about it and, again, he looks genuinely itchy to me.

Yeah sorry I was being vague and perhaps cryptic. I wasn't trying to refer to any specific thing; just a general thought based on some comments I've seen in the past. I was thinking of your blog and another lovely blog from another fandom. You guys make thoughtful posts, and when the wives or partners of the famous men are talked about, some commenters take it negatively (justified or unjustified, idk). I guess I just appreciate both of your blogs, and (this happens more on the other blog) I don't like when some people see only negativity in your posts and don't consider the thoughtful points you guys make.
Oh I understand now. Thank you for this. My only current complaint is exactly that people tend to push back when I say that some things could be off with the wives. It’s because fans tend to imagine that everything is ideal in the behaviour and lives of their favourite celebrities. I need to become a broken record and repeat each time that just because publicly they are telling you everything is great, it doesn’t mean it’s true. Famous people always want to paint a perfect picture about their private lives and their own image. They want you to think everything is great until it cannot be hidden anymore. Rule of thumb. But when a darker or more alarming or less ideal situation slips out of them, then this is a celebrity-ATYPICAL behaviour and that’s what you need to take into account a little more.
