My name is Angie. I’m a 20 year old bed bound woman with a spinal injury, facing imminent homelessness. I was evicted from my subsidised apartment on 22ndApril and will need to pay very unaffordable private rent in the coming 6 months.

I also have nursing invoices totalling $4044.20 (link) and a patient transport invoice of $2101. I need help to pay these urgently, or my medical and nursing care will cease. These costs are also ongoing - the stated transport costs are similar for all regular medical consultations, and my nursing care costs at least $340/week. The sooner I can pay for a full diagnosis, the sooner I can apply for government support.

I currently do not have enough savings to continue paying for my accommodation and healthcare. If I become homeless, that will be life threatening to me. Please consider donating even a small amount. Thank you!!

hi tumblr i need your help with a thing

this is my friend Bruno:

Bruno is one of the best humans I know. He’s a soft-spoken sweetie-pie, he’s hilarious, and he’s an incredible artist. He has planned an entire screenplay about a Haitian voodoo vampire. I love this dude.

Like a lot of low-income people in Jacmel, Bruno lives in a plywood home. He has tricked it out with his art, and magazine cut-outs and newspaper clippings and made it his own. But it’s still plywood, and eventually plywood rots.

Today Bruno came to ask for me for help because his house is rotting. We took a carpenter out to his place and it will literally only cost $160 to repair his house!!! That’s it! And then his house is safe from the rain and sun! If I had the money I’d pay it all in a heartbeat, but I’m a volunteer and haven’t earned a paycheck in several months. 

Let’s fix my Bruno’s house! I’ll kick in $50! Please help! My friend deserves to live in dignity!

ps - any money we raise beyond the cost of repairing his house will go toward ACFFC’s on-site fund for emergencies/unforeseen complications like this one. there are definitely other needs like this outside our budget that come up almost every day, so exceeding this goal would be awesome!!

hi guys!! SO I have a little over a week left in Jacmel, and I’d really like to leave knowing that Bruno’s house is fixed. Please please please help me spread the word. It’s such a tiny amount and it would do so much good.
