I wrote a short thing about this a while ago, actually! Obviously I've thought about it. Here we go.
In an ideal world, I'd get to do nothing but write and draw and create things and live off universal basic income while doing that, and this is an ideal world, so.. let's go with that! Alternately, librarian. And in the event that the sun decides to strike me from the sky and split me up into my constituent parts...
Rationality works in the clockwork of the City, which is a whole thing that I never really got into, it's a fucking mechanical maze down there. She does a lot of really minute fiddly repair work, and she absolutely adores it.
Inspiration is a street artist! Not much to say there, she does really elaborate murals and chalk sidewalk art. She's really bad at marketing herself, she mostly does it for the fun of it.
Pash is a renegade bookshop owner, by which I mean she blatantly shoplifts books from non-hollow book stores with unethical business practices, and often commits minor felonies in the name of social justice.
Hate's a ghost. I never precisely defined what turns someone into a ghost rather than a hollow, but in general terms it happens when you're too conceptual a being to fill out an entire person suit on your own. She haunts my house and is miserable about it.
Dee is most certainly a Sunbaner. But what does she do for work? I think that, as she is, she exists as an entity that can't possibly conceive of having a job, it's just completely alien to her. Therefore, in a world where she is forced to consider getting one, she has had a long string of short jobs, all of which she has gotten fired for, either for being too upfront or too creepy with the customers/her coworkers/her boss. She's more miffed with this than she'll ever show. She really wasn't made for talking to people.
