Detail from the The Bayeux Tapestry.
A naked man standing brazenly in the lower margin of the tapestry, right underneath a woman and a clerk who are labeled “ubi unus clericus et Ælfgyva,” or (loosely translated) “Look here! It’s a clerk and Ælfgyva”. Her name means “Elf-Gift,” which is a pretty name used for lots of Anglo-Saxon women. It is probably the medieval equivalent of the slang term of ‘babe.’

2,000-Year-Old Fast Food Shop Uncovered in Pompeii
Archaeologists have unearthed a frescoed thermopolium (a hot-food-drink shop) in Pompeii, an ancient Roman city frozen in time after the catastrophic eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 CE.
“Thermopolia, where drinks and hot foods were served and stored in large dolia (jars) embedded in the masonry counter, were widespread in the Roman world, where it was typical to consume the prandium (the meal) outside the house. In Pompeii alone there are 80 thermopolia,” Dr. Massimo Osanna, interim director general of the Parco Archeologico di Pompei, and colleagues said in a statement.
“As well as being another insight into daily life at Pompeii, the possibilities for study of the newly-discovered thermopolium are exceptional, because for the first time an area of this type has been excavated in its entirety, and it has been possible to carry out all the analyses that today’s technology permits.” Read more.

Stress/family issues and people trying to take advantage of my autism
I am just frustrated. My sister did steal from me and now is trying to guilt trip me into dropping the charges. Its overwhelming that she keeps asking. I’ve blocked her but she has said she hates me/i’m the worst sister in the universe/etc. I am being blamed for ruining her life when she chose to steal. Yes i am staying with the charges cause she needs to face serious conesquences. She’ll say she won’t steal again but then she does. This needs to stop. She needs to stop stealing from us (dad and i). The sooner i get my own place where she will not be allowed the better.
Also it feels like she feels like with my autism i would relent. She’s taken advantage of that and knows i get overwhelmed quicker. Almost like “Ok just leave me alone.”
