THE PUPPY (PART I)

a puppy barks and his owners are dismayed during the day a black cloth is laid covering the cage all the puppy knows are these four walls all his life every night until one day the cloth is removed and the door unlocks to a world of the unknown the puppy finally walks the house ain't all it's not where his journey stops he barely knows his owners when the chance came the puppy ran away

Suburbia ends in one of three ways: excelling in academics, falling victim to the negativity of your surroundings or finding your own path in the midst of chaos and judgement. “Clayton County” explains the allegory of my personal journey in this crazy town. Through a funky bass-line and neck-breaking drum break, this honest approach to my life-long love for music and craft cuts through as each line adds to the true essence of not just my home but every teenagers voyage through self and their surrounding community.
