How do you tell your friend, who you haven’t seen in three days, that you want them to leave so you can listen to “She Used to Be Mine” on repeat and cry?

Hello my lovelies, how are all of you doing? I know I’ve been pretty inactive on this blog but I’m hoping to be reinspired by Sara, life, and music again soon. (Mental illness sucks!!) With that being said, I was hoping that one of you very talented Sara fans could help me out with a drawing/tattoo!! I got this beautiful, very simple tattoo (in Sara’s handwriting!!) in August of 2014, right after I saw Sara in concert during The Little Black Dress tour. I think I am finally at that point where I’m ready to cover up my scars, embrace all of the imperfections on my legs, and get a tattoo to go with what’s already there. I want something elegant and unique and full of the feeling that Satellite Call and The Blessed Unrest give you. I am willing to work out a payment and just really want this tattoo to embody beauty and soul. Thank you all so much! Sending out my satellite call. ✨

“Waitress,” the new Broadway musical based on the 2007 indie movie, is not your typical love story. Set in the South, the plot swirls around a diner waitress and expert pie-baker named Jenna, who, mired in a loveless marriage to an abusive husband and unexpectedly pregnant with his child, embarks on a torrid love affair with her married gynecologist.

Then again, Sara Bareilles is not your traditional Broadway composer.

Ms. Bareilles is the singer-songwriter behind piano-driven hits like “Love Song” and “Brave,” who earlier this month played what she — self-deprecatingly — calls her “mid-tempo ballads” at a White House state dinner honoring the Canadian prime minister.
