It’s a whole new world we live in…
The pokemon company - a branch of a company we had all come to know and love for bringing us the games of our childhood, but none better than the series of catching adorable creatures and raising them for many purposes but mainly so we could all become our own pokemon champion. They approached a science lab in early 2009 with a secret that could change the world - the formula to bring their games’ creations to life. What they needed these labs to do was to make it a reality, and paying a small fortune the labs were not about to refuse. Creating a laser that could bring the pokemon to life they went through multiple tests - bringing a Charmander through first which they nicknamed Reality. After several check ups and tests Reality was deemed to be a living creature. This news sent the people who had funded them into a tizzy, demanding they bring another through for reproduction and so they could cash in on this miracle of creation.
What they did not expect was the dangers this would cause for all it took was the technology or specs to fall into the wrong hands, which of course it did. With a larger laser and a bit of work this mad man would go on to unleash pokemon onto our world - untamed wild BEASTS with powers unleashed onto our world. The destruction that came from it incredibly massive, plunging the world into what came to be known as The Great Fear. It would be years before the first pokemon master tamed his first pokemon and only after months of research. Others followed his lead and soon the world began to look more like a video game than the world we had once knew.
Gyms began to crop up around North America (for rp sake) - Ottawa, Chicago, Mexico City, Los Angeles, Nuuk, Nassau, New York, and Havana - and a now world renowned pokemon professor - Professor Dogwood - in Raleigh, North Carolina where new trainers go to get their starter and their new pokedex. In the darkness, though, there is a new threat that is just waiting for its time to strike, hoping for world domination and to plunge the world back into the fear from before the first champion tamed his first pokemon.
Rules
- This is a group verse based on pokemon and of my own original ideas
(lbr I did this rp 3 years ago on gaia oops)and as such it’s not your normal happy go lucky light hearted pokemon world. - This group is open to all fandoms and all people as long as there’s no duplicates of face claims/muses unless twins have been plotted out and that’s up to you guys to work it out on your own.
- OOC drama isn’t allowed cause I mean, who wants that shit? No one. That’s who. If you want to do some IC drama that’s chill, just don’t be kids ooc please and thank you.
- The tag for the verse is ‘v: the pokemon project’ and please be as active as possible.
- Please remember that not everyone can be gym leaders and not everyone can have a full team of six pokemon. Diversity is key. c:
- As for pokemon battles I want them to happen but I’m not going to sit down and judge them, so talk ooc and play nice with one another please.
- That being said if you have a question feel free to ask me and I’ll answer as fast as possible.
- This isn’t a rule so much as a reference as if you want to use sprites like I was using for the pokemon team meme it’s this website here and if you’d like lists of all the pokemon in a certain type go here and change the type in the top bar.
