Dear @staff @support @david so you guys really haven’t responded the ministry of communication of Indonesia?? There are millions of tumblr users in Indonesia, and Indonesia is actually banning tumblr because of porn stuff. The ministry says you guys do nothing about this. Please, PLEASE do something. Otherwise, many of your users in Indonesia will lose access to their tumblr blogs forever. Some of us use tumblr for fun, some of us use it for school, some of us use it for writing, some of us use it for our livelihood. This is not okay.

DREAMers, don’t stop dreaming

You’ve probably heard by now that President Trump and his Attorney General Jeff Sessions have decided to rescind the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program. Originally created by President Obama, the program provided hope and protection to nearly a million children of undocumented immigrants, many of whom have growing up knowing no other nation besides the United States of America.

In their hearts, in their lives, DREAMers are Americans. And they are human beings. The cruelty of deporting them to an unfamiliar land is matched only by the recklessness of doing so. Immigration is vital to our identity, our economy, and our culture. To extinguish the dreams of DREAMers is not only unkind, but fundamentally un-American.

So, Tumblr, here are some ways you can help each other out:

It’s time for Trilobite Tuesday! Back in the Paleozoic seas, trilobites more often than not found themselves as the preeminent life form within their chosen marine ecosystem. Especially during the initial stages of their lengthy run through geologic time, certain trilobite species, such as this 10-inch Isotelus latus from the Ordovician of Ontario, were frequently the biggest, baddest bullies on the tidal bay block. Oh sure, the occasional menacingly meandering jawed fish or giant sea scorpion could put just about any trilobite in its place within the Paleozoic pecking order. But for a hefty segment of their quarter-billion year passage through deep time, trilobites generally ruled over their aquatic domain.
