this was my sideblog, and i’ve had this url since the night the real dashcon went down in 2014. i had “THIS IS A PARODY BLOG” in all caps as my description, and every link on this blog actually went to a different charity.
tumblr deactivated this account today, i’m assuming for impersonation, or maybe they thought it was real and they just really don’t want another dashcon? 🤷♀️
in my links, i included bail funds, covid relief for tribes, trans people’s gofundmes, yemen children’s relief fund, ASAN, animal shelters, a gofundme for hurricane relief in honduras, and many many more

I think almost every province with surging cases should seriously lock down and pay people to stay home.
Otherwise a lot of people are going to get seriously sick or die.
This shouldn’t need to be said at this point.
But if I see anyone posting conspiracy theories about how covid19 is fake or not dangerous or the government is behind it all I will block you.
This rhetoric kills people, and I have zero tolerance for it.
Can’t believe I had to just read some of that garbage (about how the government is messing with testing numbers to force lockdowns). They were blocked.
A Twitter user saw an ad for this neat, unassuming house for sale for less than $159,000.
It had a beautiful yard, so he made an app’t to see it. And, that’s when things got weird.
The living room was messy and tacky, but it had a nice spiral staircase, an open 2nd fl. balcony, and Mediterranean style.
But what was up with this mural of outer space?
And these 2 creepy homemade aliens?
Well, the space theme continued into the dining room. The mural made it look like you were in a spaceship that landed on the moon- see earth off in the distance?
Hmmm. This looks like the conference room in a space ship.
The kitchen is plain, but still has a few touches, as well as a “sealed” hatch door.
What, you say you like the beach? This house has you covered. The bedroom has a waterbed and that’s real sand on the floor.
The bathroom is a tropical rain forest.
This 2nd bedroom is beautifully staged in a hippie retro theme- notice the square bed- it must be a cardboard box.
Look, this spare room is a blank canvas- you can make it anything you like.
And, I don’t know what this is on the mezzanine.
The back of the house is nice, but it’s a little overgrown- the ivy is starting to cover some of the windows. It was sold for $152,500.
Whatever the reason, it’s clear that these people were living their absolute best life.

I had the sweetest guy in my line today. He bought a bunch of brownie mixes and such. Definitely getting his bake on. So I say this and he's like, "yeah, making some for my wife cause I love her," and then spent a while talking about his wife and how awesome she is. I compliment his mask cause it's really cool. He tells me he made it himself and that he actually makes a lot of stuff on Etsy. Great guy, great husband, also great stuff on Etsy. Such a wholesome dude.

Oh my gosh, mine does this EXACT SAME THING.
The cocker spaniel is prone to ear infections, so she needs a solution squirted down her ear canal and massaged in on a regular basis. She absolutely HATES it, but she endures it because she’s a good girl and she knows she gets treats after.
The border collie does NOT have ear issues, and doesn’t need the solution, but every time I’ve finished doing the cocker spaniel’s ears, he comes slinking up to me with his tail between his legs and an expression like “It is my turn for the ear torture. 😔😔 do your worst. 😔😔😔” and he will KEEP ACTING LIKE THAT until I put the closed nozzle of the ear solution into his ear and tip it upside down and massage his ear for a bit. Then I tell him he’s done and he immediately turns delighted, because “oh, wow, I survived the ear torture, and now I’m just vibrating with delight at my survival, wow, that was rough, but I made it through”
At literally no stage did we ever tell him he needed his ears done. He just saw the cocker spaniel getting it done, and was like, “oh. 😔 ear medicine for all of us 😔”
