I write my congressman more often than I talk to my own father. This mf probably knows me by name at this point because of the letters and e-mails I keep writing to implore Congress to vote for a ceasefire.

If you live in the US, your elected representatives are supposed to represent the interests of the constituents they serve (radical concept, right??). It’s your right to send them correspondence to support a specific course of action. And if more people do so, it’ll be that much harder for the government and media to try to browbeat us into believing the siege on Gaza has as widespread support as they claim.

Anyway…

I feel like I'm being gaslit by the media. We can see the atrocities taking place in Palestine, but the stance of the US is like "nope, those human rights violations are not occurring. You didn't see that. It's not real."

It's giving "there is no war in Ba Sing Se".

It features a sexy, malevolent, musical nature god who opens a popup bar in the woods to lure blood sacrifices into the forest and drive them mad. :-)

After waiting for a DECADE, I finally got the opportunity to see Hozier live this past weekend in San Francisco, and my life has been forever changed by the experience.

A little tattoo design/art piece I made, inspired by Hozier's "First Light".

I resonate with that song more than I am capable of expressing, and I think anyone who's experienced substantial trauma and has begun their healing journey can relate to the sense of coming out on the other side of a grueling ordeal. Also, I saw him perform this song live for the first time in SF a few nights ago, and I think my soul might have actually left my body and ascended to some higher plane of existence during that song. It's my absolute favorite off his new album or really any of his discography, and I wanted to capture at least some of what I felt the first time I heard it.

The Latin "prima luce", as opposed to the English "first light" is just because I study English and Latin at university, thought it sounded dope, and vibed with it.
