Summary: Bear wasn’t any worse for the wear in the years since Dan had packed him away. His weight wasn’t too much for Dan to carry. Even tied to Dan’s past, he wasn’t as heavy as Dan had imagined for years. He simply was.

And maybe that’s why Dan kept him after all. Maybe he didn’t need to forget; maybe he just needed to acknowledge that some things would always be there in some form, because you could not erase the past, but you could learn to live with it.

Notes:

Happy, happy, happy birthday @alittledizzy . You are the reason I’m here, and I’m so happy to have had the pleasure of knowing you for....almost a decade? a decade? You are just a wonderful human and a gift to this phandom. Thank you @stitchedthekey and @rawritsamehh for the beta help!

I finally watched The Sound of Music and like I get it now, I get it.

It’s a beautiful two hour love story of a strict man finally opening his heart again and then a fifty minute public service announcement to hate the nazis. Brilliant.

You’re not wrong there…

Reblogging this version cuz those two gifs show the sexiest duality a man can have.

2 things a man should do

  • Look at me like he can’t believe I exist
  • Hate nazis

Dog hill is off the table until after tour. Time to make a new hill!

There is a hill. It exists. It is out there. Perhaps we should not go to it, but wait for it to come to us.

OR what if the hills is MADE of dogs and this is all a puppy pile fever dream.

OR maybe I’ve been struggling to sleep for two weeks and I AM THE HILL and they’re on me

the thing about being in a fandom for a long time is you inevitably develop very intense opinions about things you know objectively are absolutely meaningless but nonetheless make you want to gnaw through drywall like a feral cat and there's just nothing you can do about that
