Hey peeps! Can’t believe it’s been 2 years since @jovaline and I put together Ladies of Literature: Volume 2, our illustrated anthology about literary ladies!!!

I’m putting up some cosmetically damaged books up on my Etsy store for a discounted price to make room in my apartment. The photo above illustrates the types of small dents + dings the book may have. The damages do not affect the integrity of the book itself.

I alsoooo put up brand, spankin’ new ones up for the regular price which comes with a free random postcard, bookmark, AND sticker from the Kickstarter campaign. (Discounted book does not come with the goodies)

If you’re not familiar with the project, you can check out the Kickstarter campaign here! : )

Hey everybody!! Hope you're all having a fantastic weekend!

At this point, we've sent out packages for all backers who filled out their survey before November 10th! For the remaining handful of stragglers, please fill out your survey ASAP so we can get your stuff out to you!

**Missing/Lost Package??: If you're in the US, please contact us in three weeks after this update if you haven't received your package. If you're international, please let us know if you haven't received them within three months. We know that sounds like a while, but sometimes the USPS just needs a little time to sort their end of year/holiday stuff together.

Also, please let us know ASAP if your package arrives severely damaged, and we can discuss options for replacing it. Photos help too if you're able so we can prevent future issues!

ALSO, if you know anyone who missed the Kickstarter and is interested in purchasing a copy of the book, some of the artists are putting their extra copies up in their personal online stores for sale! Support your favorite artist(s) directly by purchasing a copy from their store! You can view the full artist list with links to their sites on the main Kickstarter description page. We'll also do our best to reblog/announce people who have their copies up for sale via the official Ladies of Lit tumblr page!

Feel free to tag us at @joviellety and @kuru731 (both Twitter and Instagram) or use the hashtag #ladiesoflit (we also see a lot under #ladiesofliterature) once you've received your Kickstarter goodies! We'd love to hear your thoughts and see pictures!

And lastlyyyyy, we're not 100% sure what our collaborative project horizon looks like after this is completely finished, but if you'd like to follow up with what we do next, either together or individually, the best way to see future announcements is on our tumblr pages. Hope to see you guys around! And thank you all again for everything!!!!

With love, Arielle Jovellanos - jovaline.tumblr.com Janet Sung - janetsungart.tumblr.com

Here is Scout Finch (and Boo Radley) from Harper Lee’s To Kill a Mockingbird- my contribution to the recently funded Ladies of Literature Vol. 2! This is an incredible project brought to you by incredible people-  be sure to check out the tumblr for more info.

Also…isn’t it crazy that Harper Lee’s sequel to To Kill a Mockingbird is releasing this year??? I wonder what Scout’s been up to all these years…

I realized I never made a post about this! Recently there was a huge zine project titled Ladies of Literature that was coordinated by Arielle Jovellanos and Janet Sung. The kickstarter successfully raised $39,073 of their $18,000 goal!! So cooool!! The books are going to be so pretty and full of awesome art!  The artists were asked to choose and illustrate a female literary character. I chose Ms. Spider from James and the Giant Peach. Lots of really cool characters were chosen. The kickstarter is over now, but if you missed the chance to order a copy you can always try emailing either Arielle or Janet to see if you can still get one!  So happy this was so successful! :)

Here we are! This is the piece I made for Ladies of Literature Vol. 2! The Kickstarter did so well, thank you guys so much for all the support! I’m honored that I got to be a part of the anthology while representing one of my all-time favorite books (and characters) Coraline! Mad props to Arielle and Janet for organizing this whole zine, they rock! Cheers, ya’ll!
