Someone a couple of buildings down from me has a karaoke machine (or just an insane mic/sound system setup) and every so often she treats the entire postcode to her Not Great singing.

Today, however, a child has gotten access to it. And she has been singing half mumbled nursery rhymes/kids songs for about an hour.

To whichever of my neighbours are still out in the car park or communal garden space: godspeed with the horror movie you're now in.

yknow i never noticed the sheer rareness of images having ids or alt text on this website until i started adding alt text to my art (and trying to remember to add it to any images i post in general, especially text screenshots) and that makes me kinda sad

I feel like a lot of people just don't know how to do it or are intimidated by the prospect. I was too, actually, and I couldn't find any good guides on how to do it (beyond basic formatting) and most guides boiled down to "just describe what you see and important details!" I really wanted to add alt text bc accessibility is important to me, but I would always get kinda stumped on how to do it.

But then I saw this image, I think in a discord server, and I immediately started doing it. It kinda broke the ice for me

#for the people who ask why i describe characters' outfits and specific expressions over and over#why i say where they are in the frame or whether they're out of shot#and it's also why i add commentary and context and general flavour#sometimes i'm just being unhinged about things but i'm also very into making sure everyone's in on the joke#it's very sexy to me#thankfully my efforts seem to be well received#other than one person who was a bitch about it but block button my beloved#anyway. yeah. almost all 300+ of my gifsets#because accessibility is sexy#as is sharing my own brand of batshittery#it's truly win/win#alt texts#tumblr
