I'm playing around with learning Blender. This is the first thing I made on my own that wasn't DIRECTLY following a tutorial. Although heavily inspired by some tutorials, like this one: https://youtu.be/Hyb3tlafkuE

I used to do a bunch of 3D animation stuff in high school (it was all probably garbage) for school projects and stuff. My first one was an animation of Mt. Vesuvius erupting, and I greenscreened my friends and me flying in front of it. I'm going to try to dig up some of those old animations...

Katie finally made Saurabh and I take the Christmas tree out.

This was the first of our Stupid Music Videos series last year!

I started playing around with Spitfire's Discover pack and fell in love with the Bass pizzicato sound. This bass line came out, and then I added a bunch more on top of it. I don't love some of the melodic lines or some of the weird expression in the strings, but I was pleasantly surprised by how fun it was to sketch out a quick idea like this.

Fidley Grinnd - Part 1: The Hammer

Fidley Grinnd didn’t like waking up. If he had the choice, he would never have to wake up ever again. Well that’s not quite right. He does have the choice, and yet he continues to wake up day after day. Maybe it’s because he dislikes staying in bed all day more than he dislikes waking up. Or perhaps he feeds his own self-loathing by doing the things he most despises.

#52: Movie Star Crush = Aubrey Plaza

So here's the thing. Parks and Recreation is an amazing show. Every actor in that show nails their part. Mostly because they basically created those parts for themselves around the great dialog.

But April Ludgate is my favorite character in the show. And that is mostly owed to Aubrey Plaza's amazing acting. She's able to effortlessly communicate so much with the least movement. With the slightest look. It's like the ultimate in less is more.

#50: Dear 5th Grade Me...

Dear Adrien,

Soooo…. How about you sit down for this. In fact, finish that quiche, digest it, then come back to this letter. And while you’re at it, turn off the TV. Spongebob Squarepants can wait.

First of all, please do not let this alarm you, but I am writing to you from the future. And by “I”, I mean you. And by “you”, I mean you too. Um, let me start over.
