They found masses on her brain, her neck, and her lungs

She's going to have a biopsy tomorrow to determine the type of cancer and what treatment is needed. I'm devastated.

I really just want to curl up on my bed and cry for a bit.

So my mom just got diagnosed with metastatic cancer.

She's been having severe back pains all summer and on Friday we were finally able to visit an orthopedic specialist. He took an X-ray and then told us to go to the ER because he saw a fracture in her spine. As you know she is a cancer survivor, and the type of cancer she had can cause metastatic cancer later. She's been getting MRIs of her whole body and so far they have found legions on her skull and her spine where her fracture is. She's still taking scans so we are not sure yet if all of this is it, but her doctor is hopeful this is all it is. It's not a death sentence; in fact, he tells her it can be treated with a pill and an injection once a month. I just found out tonight. Again, of any of you are religious in any way we would really appreciate a prayer. If not, just a kind thought or two could do plenty. I'm sorry to fill your feeds up with this, but I just really needed to get this off my chest a bit.

I'm stressed

My mom is in the hospital and they think she fractured her back. We're not sure how. She survived breast cancer and is six years in remission and they believe there could be a chance of metastatic cancer in the bone. If any of you guys are faithful please say a prayer. If not maybe just keep her in your thoughts. My mom is my world and my rock and I honestly don't know what I would do without her. She is in so much pain and I've had to watch her cry out in pain with tears streaming down her face. She hates that I'm seeing it but I think I hate seeing her in pain even more. She'll be in the local hospital overnight because she has to wait for an MRI. I hope everything comes out okay and she can come back home to recover soon.
