A sigh left Beyond which broke the brief silence following Jawliet’s words. He didn’t move his head from where he had laid it earlier, eyelids hooding his eyes in an expression that served only as a concoction of boredom and distaste. He lifted a hand to scratch a scar on his neck, although Jawliet’s glances had unconsciously made him aware of them. When he did speak, it was a careful tone that ignored any sarcasm relayed to him in the previous reply “I know you wouldn’t find it acceptable for me to simply give myself up to him, so to offer you freedom from this… However, that is an option.” He paused. “There are other ways of getting rid of people besides killing them. It would be easier to drug him, to rob him perhaps. To perhaps injure him. The point being, he may be reasonable. He may lie and agree to this deal. If so, I can hinder his efforts in finding us. Killing is not a reasonable path for me, it seems, but if I can get that close to him, I can throw him off our trail.”
At that point, he was probably saying his thoughts as they came to him, not attempting to sort them at all. It would take meticulous planning, however Beyond was adamant not to require help this time. He still felt mildly sick, but disassociated from the situation at the same time. Nothing appeared to be bothering him as much as it perhaps should have been. “This has to end. I would plan it out, however I don’t feel I can at the moment.

Without intention, the man began to connect himself to the situation. He wasn’t entirely removed from the bizarre relationship between the club owner and Beyond, but the priority was between them. Only them. For a long while they spend a substantial amount of time together. More time than Jawliet wished to do so with anyone. He was different. In this conversation came clear that the word different wouldn’t suffice for Beyond either. No, what everyone did share was the obstacles they forced him to face. His handlers chased him as they escaped the facility, the attack on him, the endless battle for this man who began to contemplate an alternative direction. “Fine.” He stated simply.

The mistake he made was to allow this to be a matter of discussion while it wasn’t. Jawliet had his own life, so did Beyond. To interfere with it wasn’t going to bring anything. “Since it is your problem, you can do what you want with it.” Finalizing his thoughts, his primary focus now was that he would recover quickly. At least for now, the drugs relieved some of the pain. In fact, the man felt different overall.

The underlying bitter tone of Jawliet’s voice made Beyond slightly recoil, but no verbal response was given. He fully intended to deal with the problem as he saw fit, only his other option he knew Jawliet definitely would not cope well with. To give himself back to the vile man who had once held him captive was still an option yet even Beyond himself was reluctant, bearing hatred of the idea even, of leaving Jawliet at all. Then again, what Beyond failed to allow into the forefront of his mind at that moment, was the very fact that Jawliet was a man who had once held him captive. Yet that thought never bore any weight on his shoulders whatsoever. He looked at the other man, giving away nothing, until the conversation faded away into a monotone silence.

The thought of the other being injured still irritated him, still spurred him on to deal with the boss. Yet the what he assumed was love he felt for Jawliet was playing on his mind in the sea of impossibilities that the world had thrown at them. He sighed slowly. “Jawliet...” He waited until the other man looked at him, then leaned forward and gently kissed the other’s lips. It was no more than a light peck, his hands going nowhere near the other’s body, and the contact lasting only a second or two, but Beyond stood up afterwards and scratched at the back of his neck. “I’ll come back from this. I just don’t feel like running my entire life.” With that, he began to walk upstairs without another glance.

“An unhealthy obsession, that’s true. And isn’t it at least partially obvious what he wants from that?” Beyond’s eyes dropped to focus lazily on the fallen remote before he leaned down to pick it up, returning it to its usual position but no longer looking at the other man. His head remained lolling there over the back of the dented cushion as if he were a corpse, though his fingers tapped at the arm of the couch in minor irritation. Empty eyes stared at the ceiling. A crease appeared in his brow. “He spent years with me under his supervision, doing those acts for him. He desires some of that for himself. I could give that, in exchange for him leaving us alone.”
Although he’d been brief, he hoped that Jawliet got the picture. One last round of offering his body wouldn’t be much of a sacrifice. The other’s state was still crossing his mind, but saying something would produce no result, he was sure of that. Silence usually irritated him, however this time simply everything about the situation seemed to be. Not knowing what to do with what he thought or felt, the man barely felt although he was in the room anymore.

A well scripted plan had the consent to sacrifice his sleep in order to execute it. Could this be one of those? Knowledge could very well perform bizarre acts just as it also swept wrongdoings off of the world. Ideas polarizing those of many still gave him immense satisfaction when they were performed well. Giving the brunet a natural interest in partaking in such acts. Winning with intelligence. Despite the lack of focus his attentiveness to Beyond’s plan hadn’t left quite yet. Obsession in broken souls, what a repetitive cycle. A trait each employee had back in the facility. Jawliet understood little of it. Glancing over the other, the torn flesh around his eye socket, scars’ edges betraying their existence from underneath his clothes. Beyond unquestionably served as their ideal kink. The fact vanquished personal opinions just as Jawliet’s. Who failed to comprehend it himself.

Hums and nods roamed along with the idea until the last word. To wait to see if his presumption and the plan Beyond created would consolidate. “Hm yes. He appears to be a reasonable guy.” Jawliet slurred sarcastically. A pause came before the next sentence. “In this world you just created, he won’t capture you and disappear somewhere? In case you hadn’t caught up, I am not physically capable of stopping him from doing so.” His head laid against the couch while a glimpse caught the broken door that remained unfixed. Any stranger could bombard into this house to do what they want. “You could kill him? You seem to have chosen that approach yesterday.” Locking eyes with the boss of that club, Jawliet envisioned the perverted nature being acted out with Beyond. The thoughts though unpleasant, were rooted into the other’s past. Permanently. To allow it to spread into the present was no option. Beyond did not appear to share that trail of thought.

Beyond’s gaze scanned Jawliet somewhat expectantly, and the correct deduction was made about the change in his behaviour, however no words were issued towards it. The man simply expelled a small sigh and allowed a yawn, turning away to glance at the blank TV screen. “I’m still capable of doing things for you. It’s hardly an excuse.” Unlike Jawliet, he looked tense, his hand gripping hard to the arm of the couch, yet it released when his head once again leaned over the back of it. “Whatever you think will help.” Was his distant response to the suggestion to keep taking the pills. Time passed again, yet faster than it had over the past day or so.

It was then that Beyond raised his head again, glancing at the other. “I am in half a mind to go out looking for the bastard myself, Jawliet. I’m sick of constantly waiting for him to come back someday.” He paused. “I know how his… Mind works. It’s simple really; he will never leave us alone until he gets something out of this.” He went quiet then, scratching the side of his head as a sudden shiver assaulted his form.

For now there was no pain. Nothing was deemed important enough to acquire attention. A dim light shone in a corner, just as a tiny red one of the television eternally beamed. Easily missed. Though the man remained unperturbed, Beyond’s tenseness was unavoidable. Still Jawliet accept silence as company while the benefits of the high transfused itself into him. Beyond’s irrational mannerisms appeared to have spread into actions. “Oh, do you now.” Liveliness was missed even more and it took longer than normal to respond much more.

Shifts of limbs were at ease now that the stinging pain was erased from this moment.  They began to adjust to Jawliet’s leisure pose. “And what shall you do, Beyond? Knock on his door and go for a walk?” The remote laid between them. A finger brushed across the buttons. Humming in thought. “Perhaps you understand his mind, but that alone won’t suffice.” The remote was moved occasionally, until it accidentally slipped off the couch. He sighed. “He is stalking you. It is safe to assume that he has an unhealthy obsession with you. That could be beneficial.”

“An unhealthy obsession, that’s true. And isn’t it at least partially obvious what he wants from that?” Beyond’s eyes dropped to focus lazily on the fallen remote before he leaned down to pick it up, returning it to its usual position but no longer looking at the other man. “I see.” Beyond turned away again, shaking his head to himself. To say he didn’t find Aoba pathetic would be a lie, however he knew he wouldn’t have to deal with it any longer anyway. “If you don’t want to be with them, you may stay in my room again tonight.”

“No I won’t bother. I will just leave…” Aoba whispered softly and smiled. He moved to give the other a gentle kiss on his neck and quietly left. “Good night… See you tomorrow.” He whispered

“See you tomorrow.” Beyond gave him a slight smile but turned his back as he got dressed and left, eventually sitting down again.

Aoba quietly snuggled in bed and sighed before closed his eyes. He ignored the other servants saying nasty stuff and slowly fell asleep, trying to get ready for the next day

Beyond only went up to his room in the early hours, having spent most of the night in his room downstairs. He remained there for part of the day, but frequently began to disappear out of the house and return at somewhat regular intervals.

Aoba went to take the breakfast for the other as usual and then went on with his duties. He, however, felt sick so he was dismissed and he remained in bed the rest of the day. A servant said that he would inform Beyond for that.

Beyond returned at some point to receive the information concerning Aoba, but he simply nodded and brushed the servant off, maintaining his usual attitude he took on from day to day. He found himself seeking the usual people-watching activity of attending a bar, and so he did, and returned that night silently with some girl .

Aoba had gone out of his room so he could get some medicine. He saw the other with a girl and gave him a soft smile but in reality he was kind of broken inside.

Beyond gave Aoba a glance as he passed but not much more than that. His night was long, spent as you’d expect, and she left the house in the early hours. Beyond remained in bed, sleeping silently with the blanket covering half of his form.

Aoba quietly brought him breakfast and knocked on Beyond’s door, sighing softly before entering. “Good morning master.” He whispered softly.

Beyond rolled over to look at the servant. He was obviously hung over, dark circles under his eyes and alcohol still on his breath. "Morning." He let out a sigh. " You don't have to call me master."

The view of the sink warped and shook as Beyond gritted his teeth. The sensation of sickness faded, to be replaced with a more pleasant one in its absence, but that only existed beneath the surface. Gradually, the man stood up again, sighing harshly and taking a glass from a cupboard to pour himself some water, noticing Jawliet enter the room at that point. He stared at him, providing the words that he couldn’t speak through his gaze; he wished the man would stay put, though apparently two stubborn entities under the same roof came with its burdens. When the pills were put into his hand and the words were said, the male only glanced down at them mindlessly. Pills didn’t entice him with pleasant memories of relief, only dragging him back to that facility where he was forced to swallow pills and foul-tasting powders, injected with icy fluids and liquids that made his veins scream. And they only ever had negative effects, which is why the hesitation came so strong. The sickness rose again with it, enough for the man to place his hand over his mouth to hold back another retch.

Yet, even though Jawliet came from the same source and most likely assisted his torture, he trusted him and turned back to the sink to fill the glass. The pills were swallowed with a portion of difficulty, but he sighed afterwards, teeth gritted and head shaking. The voice in his head told him to cough them back up, expel them somehow, but as usual it went ignored. Though, how long that would last was questionable. Gradually, as he composed himself, he brought himself back into the living room, sat down and gave the other a glance before he spoke. “I apologise…” He sighed. “Is there anything else you need?”

Despite its efforts piling up, the dictatorial element of Jawliet’s way of life ignited all of it. Nothing quite existed long enough for despair to truly perish. With one fleeing from one of the man’s often barbaric nature of dealing with things, more plainly came to replace it. A cycle never ending. And it began to become sickening. Morale seized to exist, a bullet not only tearing the brain matter in a formal client’s head, but also that of Beyond’s sanity. The loss was a galling one. Piling up to the disturbance of this vexatious reality. With a spirit that was both forsaken and tarnished, focus diverted progress towards the lines that swiped away present fears and agitation. It was a meager victory, yet nothing felt more satisfying.

Sprawled onto the couch, eyes closed. The familiarity of internal pleasure branching through his veins. Blood pressure rising as through a gap between eyelids the high had connected with each gaze. Beyond’s voice felt to escape his senses, realizing only slightly that the presence had once more returned to him. “Nah. I am doing pretty well.” Ruptured muscles seemed to hold any significance. Pain had gone astray, which only fed the urge to escape in the devilish powder. For once, there was no stress, rage or violence. “If you wanna do anything you should probably fix whatever you’re dealing with.” Each word was pronounced slowly. As if time had duplicated in that moment. An exhale expelled the residue of stress as he looked to the raven for a moment. “You probably should keep taking those pills.”
