About my recent hospital stay
I promised you guys (and my Twitter) a quick update/summation about what happened to me the other day that made me land in the hospital- so I’ll keep this as short as I can:
- Hot weather BAD.
- I’m on meds as ongoing treatment from tumors and cysts, some of which makes me very easy to overheat and very sensitive to temperature change. Another medical issue I have compounds this with light sensitivity too (EPP).
- I work from home, but my apartment is not a good one - poorly cooled/ventilated and basically a slum.
- I tried to get as much work done as I could, using every cooling method available to me, but it was still too much. My room was only 80 degrees at the time and I had ice packs everywhere and two large fans on me.
Basically I ended up becoming extremely sick (I’ll spare the disgusting details of how/when/why) and suffered from heat stroke, which landed me in an ambulance and in the ER for an entire day.
A ton of IVs for severe dehydration and some meds for a bunch of other things later, I’m back home now and mostly on bed rest. It’s a bit cooler today so I’m sneaking in some work, since I really can’t afford NOT to work.
But now with these medical expenses added to what I’m trying to work toward to move out in November, on top of trying to buy a laptop/tablet so I can take my work to a cooler area when my apartment becomes to hot- I’m really REALLY behind on funds.
So I’m not asking for donations (but if you were so inclined, there’s this link: https://www.paypal.me/Andarix) but I AM still offering commissions which look similar to these:
Any orders of these will help me a whole lot! There’s also a link on that page for the original character order form as well.
If you order from this post, you can use the discount code “hospital” to take a few dollars off the price.
(Also I’ve been told that sometimes if you’re on mobile, you can’t scroll to the bottom of the page fully? Try a desktop view if your mobile browser supports it)
And maybe give me a reblog? I really could use all the help I can get right now, thank you!
