You know how patient I can be

–Ragnar speaking to Athelstan

I’m thinking this is a jab at how the whole time (canon) Ragnar has never actually been with Athelstan. Ragnar clearly wants to be with him sexually (invited to bed twice) and cared deeply for him (i love you) Like he’s been pining all that time. Being patient. Waiting for Athelstan to come around and want him too.

Ragnar is such a terrifying and selfish man. He usually goes after what he wants. That’s how he and Athelstan started. He wanted to monk, he got the monk. But when Athelstan became more than just a monk to him. Became a friend, a confidant and family. Ragnar was never like that with Athelstan again.

Even when he didn’t agree with Athelstan’s choices he respected them. He let Athelstan choose. And he was hoping one day Athelstan would chose to be with in every sense of the world

But that never happened

Ragnar waited…

I think he’s still waiting in lots of ways.

They were meant to be both looking at Evangeline who was talking in between them, but they gave each other a discrete look that nobody would notice. 

They also both smile for a fraction of a second before looking way.  These two are so in sync it’s starting to get silly.

26 Times RA and LP Were Too Much in 2014

2014 was a fabulous year to be a fan of these two. May 2015 bring the same amount of adorkableness for us all!

1) When LP supported RA at The Crucible press night. (x)
2) When LP told us what’s up with RA. (x)

…even though literally nobody asked.

3) When this was the biggest thing to ever happen. Good times. (x)
4) When LP had no chill. (x)
5) When this picture broke like 5 fandoms or something. (x)
6) When we found out their goofy selfie game was this strong. (x)
7) When they shared their shared faves. (x)

Interstellar is the new Prometheus, tbh.

8) When RA tweeted this and people lost their shit. (x)

Set the rest of the press tour for him, tbh.

9) When someone asked RA and LP about their on set relationship. (x)

And Orlando Bloom and Evangeline Lilly made faces.

And we also found out what the words “Lee Pace” sounds like in RA’s voice and it is magnificent.
