Viola Davis, one of the most incredible and amazing actresses of our time blew our minds away with her acceptance speech at Critics’ Choice Awards. She won Best Supporting Actress for The Fences and by this speech she showed us, why she was the one to win it.

She’s brilliant, she’s stunning and she deserves it.

“Privilege of a lifetime is being who you are,” she said, stating that there is nothing better than staying true to yourself. No matter what you do, no matter how you try to behave to impress people, you will only succeed if you are being you. I’m so proud of her.

Since I’ve moved to university I’ve been a huge ball of emotions and consequently of me not knowing how to understand it all, my only physical reaction was to cry. It’s strange because I’m not entirely sad; I’m quite excited for the most part really. I’m already a little bit homesick, lonely (until everyone moves in haha), anxious, stressed, hormonal, and through all of this I’m still optimistic. I’m relieved that I understand that this week was situational and temporary and that it will soon get better. Living by myself for the past week was an interesting experience but I’m grateful that I moved in early. I got to explore independently, and got my shit together before all the events of welcome week ensued. I know that the next time I decide to blog it will be about me being overwhelmed with so many exciting things to do!

Why do moms get so surprised when their grown sons act like little shits when they put zero effort into disciplining them and continue to coddle their precious boy all through adulthood while simultaneously screaming at their daughters for putting one toe out of line even though the girl ain’t done shit to deserve all the helicoptering

Unarmed Black Man With Hands Up Shot By Police.

Charles Kinsey, 47, a behavior therapist from South Florida was shot in the leg three times by the police in North Miami while laying on the ground with his arms up and trying to help his patient with autism who had run away from a group home.

It all started when someone called 911 and said there was a man walking around with a gun. However it was Kinsey’s patient who was sitting on the ground cross-legged, playing with a toy truck.

Charles got shot by police despite telling them he was only trying to help his patient.

The police shot him, handcuffed him and left him on ground bleeding.

North Miami police have not released much information at all. They haven’t released the officer’s name, they haven’t given us an update on the investigation. However, they did say that the state attorney is now a part of this investigation.
