I will never ever get over the first Josh x Donna kiss. I can’t.
The build up (Sirius Black voice: SEVEN SEASONS OF IT). The fact that Josh is in boxers and a two-day-old barely buttoned shirt.
The enthusiasm of the first kiss, entirely fueled by excitement and adrenaline
And then. AND THEN. What I personally consider the finest two minutes of acting in Bradley Whitford’s entire career. The EMOTION IN HIS EYES.
The “holy shit I just kissed her.” The “holy shit she kissed me back.” The ten thousand calculations he runs in that moment about possible consequences and fallout because that’s who he is, and then the very clear “yes, we did that, yes, it means everything, and yes, we’re going to do it again.”
Not a single line of dialogue but he somehow delivers a soliloquy worthy of Shakespeare. Sheer perfection.
