Hello! I haven’t made a post on Tumblr in forever that wasn’t a reblog, but I’ve put up a tutorial on making weapon sprites out of 3D models for Doom! This is really applicable to any 2D sprite-based shooter!
This was really fun to make and my friends have given me major props on it (thanks), so check it out and let me know if you like it or have anything you’d like me to try to tackle in the future! Punished Marty “Razor” Kirra is known as possibly the voice actor for every single major Doom mod with a unique male voice: Shut Up and Bleed, GMOTA, Reelism, Terrorists!, Guncaster, Russian Overkill, and more. He’s even done some stuff for Duke Nukem 3D mods–if you’ve played AMC TC, you’ve probably heard him!
And now he’s trying to branch out and pick up some more stuff outside the community. Hopefully he does well, yeah?

Wow! Five years ago I made this video to show off my brand new fancy video group, Blue Vertigo! It was one of the most fun shoots I’ve ever done, and yeah, it’s kind of artsy and such, but at the time it was really different for me. We were fresh off of making TREES and other things, so this was a really big departure for me.
I’m sure I’m the only one who really cares about this and the experience I had behind it, but I felt like sharing it since it was a milestone for me and the source of a lot of good memories. I wish I still had the original footage, but that’s unfortunately been lost to the vaults of time, or else I would’ve done something a bit more fancy to celebrate our five years of existence.
It’s Monday, and you know what that means…
