Vyn dropped the pen and carefully sealed the letter shut making sure not to smear the fresh ink.

Home... What was home like he wandered. It had been over a year or two or maybe even three since he had been home. 

The rogue’s sly smirk slowly rose to a large grin, the corners of his mouth practically touching his ears. 

Vyn looked to his companion, his only companion since he had left many months ago. “Come on. We are going home.”

Vynleros swung a pack with his belongings over his shoulder and exited the den in which he had resided with the wolf at his his heels. As they retreated down the small path they had walked many times the only thing that followed was the small glimmer of a fire. A fire that would burn everything of Vynleros Shadowstar’s doings during his absence. No one would know why he had disappeared.
