Giving back to society
In Africa there is a concept known as “ubuntu”- the profound sense that we are human only through the humanity of others, that if we are to accomplish anything in this world it will in equal measure be due to the work and achievement of others. Nelson Mandela.
With your help, we’ve provided 33 loans ($820 amount lent)* to mostly young people, supporting them to have accsess to a better education system or growing their small family business.
Statistics (updated, January 2023):
- Distribution by gender: 64% female, 36% male.
- Distribution by location: Rwanda, Palestine, Kenya, Nicaragua, Uganda.
- Distribution by sector: food, education, agriculture, retail, clothing.
Deep down inside, we all want to feel that we contributed, added value and had some kind of meaning and purpose in our lives. Giving to others helps to feel that we’ve made that difference and helped to alleviate the crisis in somebody else’s life. A big thank you for loving my work and contributing to help other people.
