just so everyone knows, one of the reasons why i’m not really around here these days is because i’m currently in the process of remaking arthur.

this blog will be archived && i will be moving him to a new url, which i’ll post here when i’m close to being finished.

“As I assumed. See now,” Francis leaned forward, bracing his hands against what little of the seat remained uncovered by Arthur’s ass, “arrangements are so much easier when you listen.” Now he was just fucking around—of course, he had sort of been doing that before. It was hard for him to stay focused when Arthur was around. It was just too tempting to mess with him. How much of his life had been spent messing with Arthur purely for the joy of it? Quite a bit. And it continued to produce rewards.

proximity is discomfort; a simple equation of cause && effect. francis’ hands are far too close to him for the blond to feel any sense of ease, another hue of ( embarrassment ) frustration rising to his cheeks. his hips shift, both to create some distance between his rear && the frenchman’s hands, but also in an effort to silently persuade the parisian to leave.

my life is so much easier when you’re not speaking. arthur raises a hand, palm pressing against francis’ chest in warning. he wonders how irritated the other would be if he just shoved him off now. i’ve answered your question, now get off of me.

Everything about Francis seemed specially designed to irritate Arthur. And if it wasn’t, it seemed to do a great job regardless. If there were soulmates, perhaps there were enemy soulmates, to which end Francis served for Arthur.
“I was asking you, while you were so rudely ignoring me,” he said, “what you think about having our next pan-European meeting in Bordeaux. I mean, I know you’re into pretending you’re not Europe anymore, but I trust you’ll still be there to share your unnecessary opinion.”

is that all ? he sounds more annoyed than he is. in truth, the englishman is a touch flustered - taken aback by the notion he may have been acting like a petulant child in response to something that genuinely required his attention. it was francis’ fault - if the bastard wasn’t always wasting his time with nonsense, arthur wouldn’t feel the need to ignore him.

a moment passes before the briton sighs, leaning back into the comfort of his chair. for the sake of his sanity, he’ll choose to overlook the blatant attacks in regards to his current political climate. it makes no difference to me. bordeaux is reasonable, even if its host is not. and i will certainly attend, if only to ensure you don’t make a mess of things.

Frankly, Arthur really should have seen it coming—ignoring Francis was rarely the best way to make him go away, and usually resulted in redoubled efforts at whatever he was trying to accomplish. He didn’t care much for being ignored.

And some things were guaranteed to get Arthur’s attention. Invading his personal space, for one.

“I find this works reasonably well,” Francis said, feeling the muscles in Arthur’s legs go rigid. Despite his eternally annoyed expression, there was a slight flush in his cheeks that was the only bugle of victory Francis needed. “Particularly with you.”

there is a certain haughtiness to the frenchman which only manages to irritate him further. stubbornness bids his arms cross over his chest, the click of his tongue against the roof of his mouth creating an audible tsk. wasn’t ignoring his problems supposed to make them go away ?

-- either say what it is you intended to or get off of me. arthur’s tone is remarkably even, gaze falling to look directly at francis’ torso as he waits for the european to make his decision. he’s tempted to merely push him to the floor now without bothering to hear an explanation. it takes more restraint than he’s willing to admit to prevent himself from doing so.
