“Never frown, because some one could be falling in love with your smile.”
“So you don’t regret meeting me? No. But I do think that I represented something for you back then, something innocent, reminded you of a part of yourself that you lost and wish that you could get back. If we’d never met until now I wonder If you’d even notice me. It would be impossible not to notice you, Caroline.”
“I think a part of me has always known that… you weren’t the villain of my story.”
hiii shirls~~~! soo, have you been keeping up with klaroline or watched the originals? i'm so sad about the discourse & KC fandom being used again :\ and uugh that ending i just? if you havent read spoilers yet ignore this but.. grrrr fucking plec! =_=
Hello friend!
Honestly, I’ve been keeping up with spoilers, but haven’t bothered to watch TO (just the Klaroline scenes, lol!) because I’ve stopped putting my faith in Julie Plec a looooong time ago. :p So I was going to see how it ended first before putting my time and energy into watching that final season. I suppose the decision was made for me now?
Still, you know, keeping it vague for anyone who hasn’t read any spoilers yet, I think it’s unfair to bait a fandom like that. And also, as I always say; why waste that much screen time and writing on a story that you don’t want to tell? Why bring back characters or tease relationships when in the end it amounts to nothing? If not to bait people.
But also, I feel sorry for TO fans in general. As someone put it (I think it was Steph) ‘Klaroline wasn’t endgame, but literally nothing else was either’.
And that’s sort of the problem with Plec, I guess. :p I think it’s realistic that not all ships sail and that not all characters have happy endings. That’s life, and it sort of gives out that message of ‘you can’t always win, but there’s some good and some bad in the world’, which, okay, is fair.
Except with Plec (in general, not just TO) it is more of a competition of ‘how many ships and characters and story lines can I ruin before everything and everyone on this show is figuratively speaking dead, including all character development’.
Maybe she’s doing it because she thinks it’s edgy, or even original. (No pun intended.)
But in the end, sadly, the only lesson and message that your show will leave behind is ‘life sucks, and then you die’.
Which isn’t edgy or original, merely disappointing to all parties involved. :p
So big hugs to you, and everyone else feeling down right now.

Dear Daughter.
Two weeks before the end of the term, the sky lightened suddenly to a dazzling, opaline white and the muddy grounds were revealed one morning covered in glittering frost. Inside the castle, there was a buzz of Christmas in the air.
