Thanks so much for sending over all of the questions! Love you guys!
Are you interested in singing foreign Christmas songs?
Kevin: I WOULD LOVE TO SING FOREIGN CHRISTMAS SONGS!
Who are your inspirations?
Scott: Beyonce inspires me as a performer and as a business woman. Jazmine Sullivan inspires me vocally.
What was the best moment on tour yet?
Matt: Performing in Boston for all my friends and family and colleagues.
What do you really want for christmas?
Kirstin: I really want to spend time with my family and friends, and relax doing things that make me happy.
Who is your favourite artist of all time?
Kevin: If I haaaaad to pick one in popular music, it would probably be Sting. I relate to him so much. He’s a nice guy, self-deprecating to a fault, but extremely intellectual and thoughtful about life and his art and knows how to relate it to a wide range of people. His career is one that I love as well, because he’s explored so many different types of music which has enriched his life. Not to mention…he looks like he’s 40!
What's your favorite song to sing? And your favorite song at the moment?
Matt: I love to sing “A Change Is Gonna Come” by Sam Cooke. My favorite song at the moment is “Joanne” by Lady Gaga.
is there a song you've always wanted to cover but have never gotten around to?
Mitch: “Homemade Dynamite” by Lorde.
are their any covers that you look back on that you wish you had approached differently?
Kirstin: No because through the years we have learned what to do and not to do by trial and error.
What vocal warm ups do you do to make sure you can hit multiple notes fast enough?
Mitch: Scale with difficult intervals to train my ear and voice.
Japan is your favorite place BUT what’s your favorite Japanese dish ? Love you soo much
Scott: Okonomiyaki, it is SO GOOD!
would you ever consider doing a musical theater album?
Mitch: Yes, absolutely. I would love to cover classic broadway tunes because I grew up with them.
What do you think the most important thing in a musical group is and why?
Matt: The connection the singer has with the music is most important. If you’re not connecting to what you’re doing then you won’t relate and people won’t connect.
How do you guys keep your voices healthy ?
Kirstin: Lots of water and sleep.
Kevin, how hard was it to pick up mandarin? And are you fluent in any other languages?
Kevin: I loved learning Mandarin! I think as a musician, it’s actually not as difficult because you can differentiate the tones quite well. Grammar is pretty simple. The hard part is the memorization of characters, and that’s just looking at characters every day. But I enjoyed it so much that I didn’t feel like it was a difficult task to do! I’m proficient in Spanish, French, and I speak a bit of Yoruba (my dad’s native tongue).
If you could have any superpower what would it be?
Kevin: If I had a superpower, it would be able to give people exactly what they needed to live life full of joy.
Who's the most introverted?
Scott: I would say Mitch is the most introverted.
