u mean playing cis face claims as trans charries ?? well, first of all, i’m one of them, so ig that answers your q lmao. truly tho, you’ll find tht opinions on this vary between the trans ppl in the rpc—and im specifically saying the trans ppl, not the rpc as a whole, bc guess what ?? if you’re cis, ur opinion on this literally does not count. you don’t get a say, period.
anyway, some peeps think that you should always use a trans fc to play a trans character and i can’t argue with that logic, bc it does help with visibility. but others, myself included, don’t see an issue as long as your face claim’s gender matches that of your character ( i.e. you’re using a cis male face claim for a trans male character / cis female fc for a trans female, etc. ). i’m just happy to see more well-developed and respectfully played trans characters in the rpc, regardless of if their fc is cis gender or not.
but yeah, basically, just listen to your trans peers ?? let us dictate what is and isn’t acceptable to do. i don’t want to see cis ppl policing this, bc honestly that does more harm than good.

In early observance of the annual International Transgender Day of Visibility, I present to you all: my non-binary and transgender faceclaim directory!
The directory is currently sortable by gender and ethnicity (broadly and regionally).
Now, I’ll present a few points:
- The main objective of this directory is to introduce the RPC to faceclaims that have not yet been used by the vast majority of its members. It may also inspire us resource makers to create content for these faceclaims that others can use.
- This directory is a perpetual work in progress. The faceclaim count currently stands at 70, but I will continue to update it as often as humanly possible.
- If you would like to contribute a faceclaim or two, please message me! I’m open to all suggestions. My goal is to establish a vast array of non-binary and transgender faceclaims hailing from all genders, ethnicities, and regions.
- Please, if you answer any FC help questions or make any resources and use this directory as a reference, be kind enough to provide credit. This has required a lot of research and time and I would like that to be recognized.
Thank you all for your support! I’m thrilled to reach 500 FOLLOWERS (!!!!!!) and look forward to introducing the larger project for which this directory will serve as a stepping stone.
