Drives me absolutely homicidal when Sam comes up with the plan to say yes to lucifer and then throw them both in the cage, and everyone is against it not because they don't want Sam to die and spend an unimaginable eternity being tortured in the cage... but because they think he can't do it.

These are such clumsy options, I swear. Where's my "Yes, and it's complicated" option?? How do you distill 15+ years of a relationship on a given show into...this? Also, it's effin' CANON that they're soulmates, but this doesn't necessarily mean smoochy-face kitschy coffee shop AU romantic love. Blargh, this fandom. I swear. Anywho, let's spread this around and see what shakes out anyways. Even if it's kinda meh in the way it posits things.
