“Ja!” He nodded, as if excited to be able to discuss the results with someone. As much as he hated to admit it, he enjoyed Eurovision a great deal and usually ends up rooting for his father’s entries rather passionately each year.

So needless to say, Chris watched the contest this year again and got as heated as ever over what happened.

“’n don’ worry ‘bout that, smukke. M’far was with ‘im ‘v course - they probably ended up doin’ something cheesy ‘n mushy t’ make ‘im feel better or, what probably happened: went out ‘n drank 'very bar they could find dry.

“Euravision tore up this whole fackin country–”

She’s unimpressed. They’re not even European why was Australia in it.

“Did Jett cry? I bet he cried.”

“He actually ‘lmost won fer’uh hot minute, so I guess I can see why he’d shed some tears ‘bout ‘t. ...But---”

“Yer brother was’uh sobbin’ mess, kære. “

I kinda wonder what ‘t would’uh been like ‘f I didn’ leave Far when I was’uh kid.

If I had ‘ta venture a guess, I’d bet that the only change would’a been an increase in arguments between you.

I argued with ‘im ‘nough when I was there but there ain’ much difference. Even without me livin’ with ‘im, once he found me ‘gain he ‘n I jus’ went straight t’ fightin’ right ‘way.

Pretty sure we’ve caught up on all th’ fightin’ we missed out on fer all those years I was gone ‘lready too.
