"It smells like fresh caramel and warm hugs. Perfect for a long, luxurious nighttime bath."- ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Review from C, New York City . . . . Night time baths are serious business. And with tons of plastic free glitter, you can sleep easy knowing your bath won't add to any ocean plastics. / 📷: @lushnottingham — view on Instagram https://ift.tt/2tKPz8X

This is a moringa flower from our regenerative farming project in Uganda! It's the raw plant that eventually becomes the key ingredient in Lush products like Magical Moringa Primer. This plant thrives in warm, sunny climates and is described as a "miracle plant" - it's nutrtious, fast-growing, drought-resistant and helps stabilize degraded soil. And since Lush is purchasing moringa from Ugandan farmers at a fair price, there's incentive to plant this regenerative tree while providing a pathway to a strong income. ❤️🌱🥰 — view on Instagram https://ift.tt/2XzaE3Q

At Lush we truly believe that with packaging less is more, and none is even better. These naked cleansing balms may look a little different, but are used in similar ways to a packaged cleanser. Move these bars over your face to melt their butters and oils, then massaging them into your skin to remove dirt and makeup, then wipe away with a damp cloth or towel for clean and glowing skin! 🧖‍♀️ / @lush #lushcosmetics — view on Instagram https://ift.tt/2EHrCWi

In just the last 16 years, Guatemala has lost an astonishing 17 percent of its forest cover, driven by illegal logging and clearance for cattle grazing, rubber, sugarcane and palm oil. Land is left eroded while communities face unreliable means to support themselves and risk of deadly landslides after heavy rains. Lush invested in a 225 hectare former cattle ranch in Izabal, Guatamala and since 2016 has slowly been turning it back into a jungle, where we can organically grow fresh indigenous plants like coconut and vanilla while reversing the effects of deforestation. 🌱 #regenerativeagriculture #regenerativefarming #agroforestry — view on Instagram https://ift.tt/2BYkd3e

Just a little birds eye view of our agroforestry project in Guatemala! Believe it or not, this plot of land was a cattle ranch that was suffering from extreme deforestation when we purchased it in 2016. Now we're working to return the land to jungle so we can grow sustainable ingredients like cocoa, vanilla, avocado and coconut for our products. Here you can see various trees planted on the contour of the slope which helps prevent soil erosion, and is one of the many practices related to #RegenerativeFarming. The farm is busy maturing and we should be able to harvest in 2-4 years! 🌱 — view on Instagram https://ift.tt/2XsDUcq

Cocoa butter is deeply moisturizing and incredibly emollient! That's why we love it so darn much and put it in your favorite moisturizing Lush goodies like Blousey Shampoo, Scrubee, Oaty Creamy Dreamy, Sleepy Face and Jungle Conditioner. But cocoa butter helps more than just your skin and hair. In 2016 we bought a plot of deforested land in Guatemala. We're working with 387 local farmers to return that land to jungle by growing ingredients like cocoa, vanilla and avocado that we can start harvesting in 2-4 years. It's a major win for our products and an even bigger win for the planet. 👏 — view on Instagram https://ift.tt/2IFUWR3

This is a fresh cocoa pod from our regenerative farm in Guatemala! It's the raw form of cocoa butter, which appears in many of our hydrating products like Scrubee and Therapy Massage Bar. The fatty beans in the pod are fermented for 10 days after harvesting and then dried for 3-4 more days. In another 2-4 years, we can start harvesting our sustainable Guatemalan cocoa pods to use in your favorite goodies. ❤️ #regenerativeagriculture #regenerativefarming — view on Instagram https://ift.tt/2ThaSNP

Full of organic cocoa butter, Polyamorous Bath Oil gives your skin that extra little bit of hydratin' love it needs. And in the next two to four years, that cocoa butter could be coming from our very own regenerative farm in Guatemala, where we're busy cultivating beautiful, sustainable cocoa using responsible methods. #bathoil / 📷: @lushmilanoduomo — view on Instagram https://ift.tt/2BTYg58

Meet Augustine! He's one of the managers of our farm in Gulu, Uganda. He has decades of experience in forestry and conservation, making him perfect for managing Lush's first cocoa, vanilla, moringa and sesame focused agroforestry system. Thanks to him and 200 local farmers, these gorgeous, sustainable ingredients can be found in products like Magical Moringa Primer, Skin Drink Facial Moisturizer and Queen Bee Hair Honey. Located on a former displaced persons camp, this farm has provided food security and economic stability in a region rife with civil and environmental unrest since 2014. This is one of our nurseries at our regenerative farm in Guatemala! These little plants - cocoa, vanilla, coconut and avocado to name a few - are indigenous to the region and will help create crop diversity on a plot of deforested land that we purchased in 2016. Our goal is to start harvesting these sustainable ingredients in the next two to four years to use in the Lush products you know and love. #EthicalBuying 🌳✨🌎 — view on Instagram https://ift.tt/2NyrI5y

We love coconut oil! Parched skin drinks it up and it adds gorgeous shine to hair, which is why it's in all these goodies you see here. And thanks to our regenerative farming project in Guatemala, we'll be harvesting our own sustainable coconut oil in the next two to four years. Want to learn more? Storme Delarverie, often referred to as the "Rosa Parks of the queer community," is credited with throwing the first bricks during what's commonly referred to as the Stonewall riots of 1969 - but Delarverie herself would be the first to tell you it wasn't a riot. . "It was a rebellion, it was an uprising, it was a civil rights disobedience — it wasn't no damn riot," she's quoted as saying. . Storme died at age 93 in 2014, but her legacy carries on through her post-Stonewall work. She served as Vice President of the Stonewall Veterans Association and patrolled traditionally queer neighborhoods in New York. Orangutans rely on natural rain forests to survive. Palm plantations are destroying their futures and ours. 🐒 For the more than 4 million people who call Sumatra's Aceh province home, the rain forest is a vital life support system, providing clean water and a whole host of other benefits. Destruction of this ecosystem exposes humans and animals to environmental disasters like flooding and landslides. 🐒 You can help. When you purchase Charity Pot Lotion, 100% of the purchase price goes to grassroots organizations fighting climate change and supporting wildlife like Friends of Borneo and Wildlife Protection Solutions.
