Thank You!

To all my followers, lurkers, friends, and acquaintances, thank you for supporting me. Whether you've just stumbled upon my blog or have known about my existence for a decade. If you have ever liked one of my posts, or reblogged it, if you have read any of my tutorials and felt like you learned something, if you have ever downloaded anything I made and it has enriched your game, if you've ever supported me so I can keep my website running, then I want to say thank you for putting your trust in me. Your support keeps me going, and I appreciate every one of you!!!

Hi i was wondering if you have any cc resources or your own cc thats African style dresses? I saw you posted some sims in dresses you had made and theyre the closest thing ive found to what im looking for, but they werent available for download. Thank you in advance!

Hey there! You probably saw screenshots of the African patterns I was working on at the time. The collection is not finished yet, but I've been meaning to get back into creating patterns. Your ask has inspired me to work on that particular collection again, as the patterns are also very fun to make. I hope I can get it ready soon!

Here's a pic of the new patterns I made last night:

online communities are so strange because people slip away so easily. you can be on here for years, folding people you've never met into the fabric of your daily life, and then they disappear, leaving only ghost posts scattered across tumblr behind. or their blog stays dormant, for weeks, months, years, until you're only still following them because you remember that they love sunflowers or they were kind to you when they didn't have to be or the last thing they posted was sad and raw and you still worry about them sometimes.

and sometimes they come back when you least expect it, years later, even, and there's this sudden rush of relief like there you are, there you are, even though you barely knew each other.

there's a strange kind of love to it. i don't know you and i want to hold your hand across miles and time zones and oceans. i can still see the imprint of you in this community you left. you don't think anyone will notice or care when you're gone, but we notice and we care and we wish you well.

i hope you're all okay out there. i hope the sun is shining on your face and you are breathing deeply. i miss you.

As an addition, not only the ones that disappeared but also the ones who are generally lurking or not as active as they were anymore for reasons, I hope that you'll find solace in things that make you smile and find strength in things you do. Hang in there.

This made me feel a lot of comfort, for my own absences and others' throughout my years here. It can sometimes be very meaningful and scary to return to a blog, but once you do it's like a warm hug 💞

I've never felt more comfortable in a community than on tumblr, you can make genuine connections here, even if they are just fleeting sometimes. They are still real in that we can feel and care for each other. We're living our lives side by side for years, and there is always someone who notices an absence, someone who cares about our well-being and how we are doing. Shoutout to all the people who care about someone in an online community this way!

Idk if it was intended, but being forced to actually go to someone’s blog to access the bigger more fun boop button might’ve helped people check out blogs they wouldn’t’ve otherwise checked out, and found themselves following as a result.

Or maybe that was just me, and my need to poke the toe beans.

The people who work on, and own this site could rlly use what they did yesterday as a means to make improvements to this site in general. Like add a little fx when ppl hit like and reblog, and add more badges that can be earned through interaction and activity rather than just ones that require irl money.

Stop banning users, esp marginalized ones without legitimate reason perhaps ???

Does it sucks that the internet and video games have rotted our brains to the point that plain old human connection isn’t enough to motivate us? Yes, but also these sites helped us get to that point, it wouldn’t kill them to help us get out, or at least create a slightly healthier new normal.

Who knows, maybe actually genuinely putting their userbase’s wants and needs first might get them the growth and success they themselves so desperately want.

GAME FEATURES

THIS IS A REALLY LONG POST

There are SO MANY features in The Sims 3 that I keep learning more and more each day, so I decided to start keeping track of all of them. Some of these I've known myself, but most of them come from Reddit and TS Forum.

I'll keep on updating everytime I find new things.

Features are under the cut!

EventSpring Event

It's time for getting ready in the garden, cuddle some cute baby animals and maybe even wearing that cute dress that's been waiting for a whole season to be worn again!

It's spring time! And that means, another event on simblr.cc! The event is from 2nd of April till 31st of May!

Posts will be released the day after (1st of June). (The sticker will come soon! I'll make sure to reblog the post with it :))

What can I submit?

For all Games: This time, the event isn't locked for CC creators. Instead, you can now participate in the event by posting any of these posts:

How Do I upload to an Event?

I wrote a guide on that right over here: Events & How They Work

Happy St. Patrick's Day to all my leprechaun mutuals!!! Just for fun, let's do a cute lil meme where you tag the location of your gold. 😊

I'll hide my gold inside my yarn skeins 🧶(I have a lot of them, so good luck finding it😁) Speaking of yarn skeins, my great-aunt liked to gift me a "wonder ball", when I was little, which was a ball of yarn in which she hid several sweets that would fall out every now and then and reward me for knitting/crocheting with the yarn and encouraging me to stay engaged and finish my projects. It worked really well 😊

Did you think this was a Sims 4 screenshot? Well, I'd think so too, at first glance. Bing's image creator AI Designer, which is running on DALL·E 3, can depict Sims 4 sims surprisingly well 🫢 Aside from the figure having 6 fingers, which AI has trouble with, most evidence that this is AI-generated can be seen in the background, where flowers are poking through the window, mismatched tiles can be seen under the window, and the floor tiles are much too uneven. I will always tag any AI-generated image on my blog accordingly, but sadly, not everyone discloses this information. This AI-generated image should create much more doubt right away:

This is a demo of Vivaland, a life simulation scheduled to release in 2024! You can download the demo for free and play it right now. While I found some elements a bit clunky to use, my first impression is positive overall. I'm particularly a fan of the lighting and detailed textures. On the highest setting, the reflections are really pretty. Here are some screenshots I took (including my attempt at a nice bathroom)!

I was debugging one of my Python projects and suddenly this random pattern emerged 😃

Patterns, hmm.... maybe the universe wants to remind me of something... 🤔

I'm on and off working on a tool that tells me what files I missed to download from a simfileshare folder. You know, when you have a folder with 100 links and somehow you notice that some files have not downloaded correctly, but you have no idea which ones!?!?!?

Well, my tool can compare the contents of a folder with the files of a web link or text file, and it reports which files are missing. I am also trying to make the tool download the missing files, but it's not working (maybe the script is considered a bot and is blocked, or there is something special you need to do to make it work that I have no clue of. But I'm happy the tool tells me anything at all, lol!

I am not ready at all to share any of my projects, they are in Alpha state at best 😆

But I can share a screenshot:
