A farewell and a new start...
I would like to start off by saying, I’m thankful to have this goodbye. Without my mobile still being linked there would be no way to say this as I can no longer access my account from my PC.
There is no illwill but perhaps a sadness in knowing that ultimately it is my weight to bear.
This account has been with me a rather long time, for many, many years. And only for one brief moment throughout all those years did I change the username connected with it. The name DevilsStraightEdge was something I was proud of and tonight, I must leave it behind.
This letter makes that okay, allowing me closure and a farewell to not only a name but a long chapter in my life.
In more recent times, I’ve drifted from Tumblr, fading as an active presence but popping in and out every now and then to reblog a few bobbles I found snagged my fancy. Not like in days gone by when this site had enveloped much of my free time.
I remember when goodbye letters began on Tumblr, bidding farewell and adieu to the site. I honestly never saw myself writing such a post but, fate is a funny thing it seems…
This is not goodbye forever though, I don’t want that. And I don’t have to accept that. I am looking at this event as the small shove to prompt me from the nest and into the air.
It’s time I spread my wings and flew to new heights.
I am not entirely sure what my new account will be named as of this moment, but I am putting down a few names that I will likely select from should you wish to still see from me in the future. I will also place my email below to ensure a way to contact me is available regardless of the username decision.

Thank you everyone and thank you DSE for visiting and being with me all these years. It’s been a real blast and I’ll miss us but this is not my ending, and I must not drown the possibilities of the future in the nostalgia of the past.
