Awww thank you! I honestly have no idea yet, if I will be active again, or how active I will be. But it sure does seem like a bit of a sign that I get it back now of all times... But first things first, before I do anything else, I’ll go and save all my drawings I thought I had lost.

Sleigh Ride, Ice King Snow Prince AU

Ciel mused how it wasn’t strange to be out on the plains anymore that surrounded the cirque.  More often than not, come first thing in the morning, they both climbed into the sleigh to head out over the open snow with the beautiful white stag, Blizzard.  There were times he thought it strange that the ruler of a dominion would be so free on time, but he forgot to question it  when they were out surveying the winter lands.  When it was a bit warmer and the blowing snow didn’t disorient, he’d disembark and practice the things he’d been learning for near on a year now.  Ciel was most proficient at dissolving into the snow and traveling as nothing more than a swirl of sparking flakes.  It was a great rush being able to travel as fast as the wind, even if he couldn’t hold the dissolution much longer than ten minutes or so.  It was much harder to form the ice sculptures or summon a centralized snow storm, which were more Sebastian’s specialties.  Truly, Sebastian’s forms and power were massive and impressive; establishing himself as the most powerful in the region he ruled as a caster.

Ciel was still learning his craft, and also finding more unique gifts with his magics.  Much of his magic lay in creation, not the mammoth buildings Sebastian was capable of, but smaller things, like the snow people who “assisted” Tanaka or the delicate imaginings of his childhood.  And time had also given him the ability to finally have a decent relationship with the damned castle lights he’d so long ago managed to piss off.  Several times he’d summoned winter fae who he was most proficient with haggling with for their wares and services.  With time he’d even managed to earn a relationship with a younger fae who was willing to barter wares in his home kingdom during the winter festivities.  He’d only been able to attend a day of them himself, much to his disappointment, because Sebastian was so particular about keeping him out of the hands of humans.  The over protective brute hadn’t even truly let him out of his sight, simply transforming into a snowy bird of prey to keep watch.  Ciel didn’t truly mind though; it was nice to be desired so fiercely, and knew well enough by now how to keep the other in check.

“It seems we’ll have to make a detour”, Sebastian said suddenly, a magpie landing on the intricate railing and jabbering, “the snow crossing ahead suffered a land slide the day before apparently.  It will take quite some time to get home via the alternate route…”

Ciel frowned, the gaping chasm visible as they were turning, “Well wait then.”

Blizzard slowed and trotted a ways down while Ciel leapt out the side and crossed lightly over the snow to get a better look.  He’d begun to think his bright idea to be foolish till he saw the three jagged stones that lay along the bottom, somewhat evenly spaced.  It would do.  With intense concentration he kneeled and began to construct ice beams, set into the rocks below.  All three trembled and threatened to topple over repeatedly to the point he had to connect them with a thin sheet of ice to keep them spaced properly as they finished growing to their needed height.  He was lucky that, due to his interest in toys, engineering had been something he’d been more familiar with than his twin.  It had been limited to ‘don’t make the head of this stuffed toy bigger than X lest it fall over’, and he wouldn’t begin to try to make the castle he lived in, but it was enough for things like this.  He stood and allowed all the pieces to solidify and particularly the bridge itself to thicken to a sturdier depth.  It would be able to support their weight, if only briefly.

Blizzard had pulled back around and Ciel climbed a bit tiredly back into the seat.  It’d been more work than he was expecting to get the structure up and stabilized.  Sebastian settled the furs back around him as the stag hesitantly tested the structure with his hooves, “You’re so absurd.  Testing me like this.”

“I have no idea what you mean,” Sebastian said as he pushed snow across the ice bridge to make the stag more comfortable.

“You could have created that bridge in half the time, or just had a localized snow storm dump the amount of snow that slid down the ridge to fill the gap if you’d wanted to.”

“And you didn’t have to stop us from just taking a detour,” Sebastian shrugged, as they began to cross the chasm.

“I know what would have happened if it’d taken twice the time to get home.”

Sebastian smirked, “And what do you mean by that?”

“I’d have been bare back here and you’d have been riding me all the way to the cirque,” Ciel snorted.

“I still can,” Sebastian purred, grasping at his tunic, “There’s always enough time.”

Ciel shook his head and yawned, “I’m taking a nap, now I’m all tired.  You maybe should have thought of that first.”

Sebastian’s hands didn’t stop their wandering, “I like to have you prove to yourself the strides you’ve made since leaving home.  You always look so damned smug when you make something out of nothing with you skills.  And are far less skittish as you once were when you’re tired…”

<3 This is the last thing I’m seeing before going to bed, and I love that!
