Enola Holmes having a crush on Tewksbury for the entire first movie: a series , Part 1 I guess

We all love Tewkesbury being down bad for Enola from like almost the start BUT

While I love the "he fell headfirst and hard" for him... Do not believe one bit that Enola didn't fall for him at least at the same time.

So I rewatched the first movie yesterday and here I'm pulling my receipts. Sorry if the screenshot quality is like it came straight from a toaster in 2003 but bear with me

Okay first off... The LOOK? girl I hate to break it to you but you're already in deep shit. Your boy is foraging a single mushroom and this is your reaction??? And you don't have a crush? yea right

Here's my little toaster screenshot. After she gets pretty girl clothing and a place to sleep, her phases of her original plan are jumbled up and rotate through her head. One of the slides being this. I saw this referenced in an article, but couldn't find the article again, or a clearer screenshot. So I took it upon myself to fact-check and filmed the entire sequence, slowing it down to 0.25 and I could just barely see it. 40 minutes into the movie, Enola.

Next up: treehouse scene

So she's going up the treehouse looking at his stuff there and... THIS is her flashback. They literally made it look like "I'm gonna go on a romantic stroll with my herb nerd boyfriend". The most romanticised-looking memory of Tewksbury she possibly had at the time.

funny little tidbit: cornflowers can mean hope, future and also, when worn by a man, that he's in love. Tewks didn't know Enola when he pressed the flowers of course, but it is pretty cool that his pressed flowers echo what he's leaving his home for.

Okay now to my favourite part :

"why would anyone want me dead"

Enola babes... Don't think you saved it with the second part .Girl you can't fool me one bit. You were the one to cut his hair in the first place. You are down fucking bad and I can smell it all the way from the other side of Europe. Mind you, you really seem to like touching his hair too but that's another story.

I see you're trying to deflect from the fact that you said you've taken a liking to him since y'all last met. Very clever. Didn't work for me but for Tewksbury it sure did.

Enola used to live in Ferndell hall, but since she left she's been living in denial.

When Enola tells Tewkesbury to forget something, he truely wipes his memory. Which is often. That is how he became a nincompoop.
