Last night I had a dream I woke up to find that my house had been turned into a Smart House with every wall being a digital screen including the roof so I could see it even laying on bed and the Siri voice said “Don’t worry. You are perfectly safe in your Apple Smart Home™️” knowing I have a BIG phobia of intruders especially at night and it continued with “Let’s explore the neighborhood from the comfort of your home” so it opened google maps and accidentally zoomed past a shitty jpeg of the girl from The Ring standing outside my house and it said “ignore that”. woke up laughing

Can I just say something I need to get off my chest about Pride Month? 

If you’re going to a parade or outdoor event, please don’t throw your garbage on the streets. If the cans and bins are too full, please keep it with you until you can throw it out. 

I’m saying this because last year I went to a Pride parade and there were MOUNTAINS of trash on the streets and sidewalks. I was with a friend in a wheelchair and we basically had to maneuver around the trash along with trying to get through crowds. 

Alternatively, please be nice to the clean-up crews and the people working at the fast food restaurants. I was a witness to a lot of bratty behavior during last year’s Pride as well. Pride is a party but it’s not your living room. Show some respect. 

From what I recall, the first time I saw 'rainbow capitalism' from a big brand was this image from Oreo in 2012.

It created a lot of controversy. Calls for boycotts and such. But Oreo didn't take it down. They were unapologetic and didn't try to appease the homophobes or backtrack.

And I know this sounds weird, but it was like a shift. Proof that public opinion or acceptance of queerness was widespread enough for a company to consider it profitable.
