It is a difficult one, as you get scripts where women are just objects. If a role has been too one-dimensional I have turned it down. I still try to be a feminist in some tiny way. There is more for women in terms of character roles now. Judi Dench and Maggie Smith have constantly changed over the years and challenged themselves with different roles. That’s impressive.

People think the goal is to just do really big movies or something. But as an actor you understand the work you want to do, and if you’re allowed to do that, then that’s great. I feel very creatively satiated. I’m excited by projects I’ve done in the last year more than ever before. If I can keep working with filmmakers like that, I’d be happy as a clam.

the best of friends.

“Thank you Fel, that means a lot right now, it really does, I’m just worried about my mother too, my father wrote to me to tell me that she’s different, she’s changed, she hasn’t left the house in a few weeks, which isn’t my mother at all, you know her..” She muttered, as she tried to focus on other things, like her education but her family needed her, and of course the Professor’s weren’t going to refuse her a few days off to be with her mother and father, were they? “She’d love that, might make her feel a little better” Eponine responded to the hug, as she blinked back tears, trying to compose herself and trying desperately not to show many emotions - otherwise it’d be straight home for her, and she was anxious about everything right now.

The brunette nodded her head delicately, smiling at her best friend, she had been around her for a while now, since her mother Orla had met Felicity through an induction, and of course her mother was motherly, and she was glad, because the pair wouldn’t have met at all, which would have been a complete shame. “Yes, I think that’s good idea, they would appreciate that, thank you for being here, I’m just sorry if I end up becoming a little....mad, or upset, I wouldn’t want you around if and when that happened, just scared for my mother’s sake and my grandfathers sake, he’s a truly wonderful, caring man, full of jokes, that make me laugh - I just...I don’t want him to go....he’s full of life” The youngest Weston female managed as she grabbed her belongings and raised from the table. “Shall we make a move?” She inquired softly, as she put on her jacket, to brave the cold with.

Sitting at the Ravenclaw table, Eponine kept herself rather silent, filling her plate with food, that she possibly didn’t need or want but she needed to find in somehow, to act as though she wasn’t a freak with not eating at breakfast time. Cutting up her bacon with her knife and fork, Eponine popped the deliciously cooked food into her mouth, enjoying it as her chocolate orbs glanced up at noticed him. Who was he? Eponine wondered to herself, as she scanned his Gryffindor Quidditch robes, well he played Quidditch, maybe her brother Sorely knew him? As she turned herself around to glance towards the Slytherin table to notice her eldest brother Sorely sitting with his friends, smiling in the direction of his littlest sister.

Glancing down at her plate full of food, she didn’t want to become weird, as she raised her glass of pumpkin juice to her mouth and sipped a little, unsure of how to act, as she had never felt like this before. Muttering to herself in Russian seemed like the best thing to do, taking on her mother’s language, adapting to it perfectly, to stop herself from breaking free what she was feeling. She would figure it out soon enough who he was, instead of asking someone and possibly letting the cat out of the bag - as she wasn’t the type to keep secrets, only ones that she had promised her friends or family of course.

But even so, whenever she had promised her father not to inform her mother what he had gotten her for birthdays, anniversaries were always the hardest to keep quiet. Unable to stop herself from staring at the rather attractive male that belonged in Gryffindor, she believed it was a shame that he wasn’t in Ravenclaw, but she would find out more, and possibly talk to him - if she was feeling that confident in herself. “Maybe one day...” She muttered to herself as she began to day dream, before focusing back to attention as she heard a loud noise.

Eponine ran her fingers throughout her brunette tresses, taking a deep breath as she glance sideways down the table of the Ravenclaw table, at times, she wished that her mother was here, but instead the youngest Weston had written to her and was expecting a reply any day now. She missed her parents, at times like this where she just wanted to know about her grandfather, Alexandre. Of course the Professors at Hogwarts knew if the youngest Weston female was distracted, with a lot going in her mind, and her eldest brother Sorely had become way too protective of their mother. Her best friend Felicity was the only person in which she knew she could rant and wave to, until she was blue in the face, and she was beginning to need that moment right now.

The pair were joint at the hip, and Eponine gave a wave back towards her, smiling ever so weakly as she noted that she had seated herself beside her. "Oh you heard that? Oh, well I've had my mother write to me, she is really...quite upset" She began, as she took a sip of her pumpkin juice, as she began to nibble onto her breakfast. "My grandfather had been attacked, as far as I know he's ok, for now, but I think my mother will be getting me soon, I was told she was seen around here, so maybe, so I'm quite worried for him, my mother and him are so close, I think she said that my father has been around since day one, when she got told, but I swear nothing likes me this year, things keep happening" Before placing down her pumpkin juice in front of her, pulling her cardigan sleeves over her hands. “So right now, I’m a little distracted more, but can’t get my head around someone wanting to hurt my grand father” She stared fixed at her pumpkin juice, before turning her body around to face her best friend.

Christmas holidays

She couldn’t deny that she hadn’t secretly been counting down the days until the Christmas holidays, looking forward to seeing her parents, and of course grand parents, Hogwarts was her home for the time being but she missed her family, Eponine had been trying to sort herself out, to allow for herself to keep a secret that was a major one; one that changed her life, she wasn't a normal human being at all, and often she wished that she was a human, a full human - without the special powers of a hybrid. The brunette kept a low profile, relaxed herself as she allowed herself to try and fit in to the society.

Allowing a small chuckle to escape her lips, she nodded her head, glad that her father had welcomed her home, it had been too long since she had allowed her dark, chocolate orbs to land upon her parents, and it was true that she had became a little mad about being away from them. "I am father! I'm home for the holidays! I couldn't be happier" She commented quickly, as she cuddled into her father, breathing in his familiar, soothing scent, as she tried not to show her tears of weakness to stream down her face. Inhaling and exhaling quickly and rather quietly, Eponine pulled back from the embrace between daughter and father and nodded "I thought mother would be the worst one, but she seems busy and distracted" The youngest Weston female observed, sensing something was bothering her mother, but being unable to put her finger on to what was the matter, she only hoped that they hadn't argued before her return - sensing the awkwardness, would be terrible to witness. "I really hope you make her happy, she seems so stressed father, I'm worried for her, but a part may be good, if you can shift her mood, I haven't eaten properly father, I've wanted to try and fit in, I'll just grab a fresh bottle father, don't worry so much"

Her mother was distracted, keeping herself busy and the five foot four female was listening carefully to her actions, her every movements as she shut her eyes closed quickly, trying to get into her mothers mind to see what was behind the uncertain smile. “How’s the shop going? Still all running smoothly?”
