The Purple Addict

@the-bored-nightmare / the-bored-nightmare.tumblr.com

I am an easily distracted girl who likes to try new things. So here I am, trying my hand at blogging. I enjoy occasionally writing pathetic stories. I love to draw when I am inspired. I photograph when I have a camera (a rare occurrence). I listen to music often but if I remember a song name it will be a miracle. I tend to get on the "So creative its annoying" side of things. I always strived to be myself until I realized I didn't need to try so hard. Now I am just trying to care less about the little things, and more about living.

Oh My

You Guys! I think I just officially discovered my ultimate celebrity crush. See I was trying to find this video because I remembered that I really liked the stars hair style and I want to cut my hair some way new. I finally found it, which led to a little research on the star and voila!. Major crushing. Granted I only saw a bunch of staged photos but there’s just something I really liked- new life role model ^^ okay maybe not that far but whatever, you get my point.

Why, Oh Why

Why, Oh Why must people have special and unique names. Little note, for all those people about to name their kids some impossible-to-say name just so they can be special, your kid is going to special because of what they do, how they do it and who they are. It doesn’t matter what their name is, only where they write it.So please, please just name your kid something simple for the sanity of all the people in the world who will someday have to read your kids name out loud!

Why, Oh Why

Why oh why is it always the hot blonde guys. I have always known that I liked the blonde guys. In many shows, manga, and even books I always rooted for the pretty, cocky, blonde, bastards, and you know what? I love them even when they’re evil or promiscuous, or if the writers decide to kill them off.

Today I had a major Fangirl moment where I jumped off my couch and cheered. See in the short TV series I have been watching the main female role finally opened her eyes and made-out with the blonde, british, leather-jacket-wearing, hottie that I’ve been rooting for since day one. Now I am so joyous I felt the need to share with my fellows.

PS: To my new show- If she breaks up with him in the next episode someone’s head is going to role. *Gives TV “Death Glare”*

This is one of my first post and just so you all know, She does break up with him. and also I have learned it is not so much blonde guys as it is: cocky, bastard, leather-jacket-wearing, tattooed, and hottie. Good thing I don’t date I might really stress out my parents.

Rochel's Monster

Me: If we took your hair, your eyes, my eyebrows, my nose, your mouth, your ass, and my boobs, we’d be the perfect woman.

Jess: Oh, but your shoulders.

Me: Oh yeah, and my ribcage. But your torso, so we’d be tall. And my legs. Holy shit, we’d be an amazon woman!

Snow Boarding

Tonight I was snowboarding later then I am usually conscious  I will so not be able to stand tomorrow. Because I wasn’t really with any body I don’t really have many stories to tell, so I decided I was going tell you all a little bit about the many people I met while riding the chair lifts solo. I actually made a list:

  1. Grey coat nice guy- asked to ride with me and two other people from the club that I was following till I got my bearings of the place, This guy gave me idea to ride up with strangers.
  2. Three college boys- these guy offered to ride with me first, I was shocked at how considerate they were.
  3. Chiropractor guys and the quiet guy- two skiers I rode with one of which spent the entire lift ride describing Chiropractics. I learned things.
  4. Three old teachers- Three skiers, along in there fifties, who I think were talking about students at one point or another.
  5. Ninja young boarder- This guy was so sneaky. he just slid up next to me and boarded the lift, with out a word.
  6. Party guy- This was the only drunk I got settled with this night and I am grateful, I had met back up with and rode with the two club members I toured the place with. and A guy from joined us. He used to attend UM Duluth, a member of the snowboard club (apparently that club earned amazing amounts of club fees via throwing parties, Monika and Nick will have to confirm before I believe it though)
  7. Older ladies experimenters- after a short break at ten-ish because I was crashing all over the hill from exhaustion I met two really nice skiers who talked to me the whole ride up. They asked me a bunch of questions about snowboarding they side they wanted to try it sometime.
  8. Short guy regular- The next person I met was a really nice guy who left his group and rode with me just so I didn’t have to go alone. He was a regular at the hill and we talked about who unusually crowded it was and the snow conditions. I totally crashed getting off the lift with him but thats okay cause it was like 11:30
  9. Tall white border- THis guy was really tall, with light tan pants, a pure white jacket and a white hat, he didn’t speak, just slipped on next to me.
  10. Three ninjas- these three snowboarder were not sneaky like the last guy, they were loud and talkative, I just though they were going as there group, when all of a sudden the three of them board the lift with me. At the end of this ride, someone had wiped-out getting off the chair lift and was crashed right in the middle of the path. I had to use the chair to steer myself around them, and I somehow bumped my hip and my whole leg hurt for the next two runs.
  11. Chiropractor guys- I saw these guys again and because this was our second time riding together they actually talked to me instead of to themselves and I learned a lot about them. They are grad students studying chiropractics in Bloomington, MN. They told me about how the miss being undergrads and wished they had gotten involve with more activities before.
  12.  First time trollhauggers- these two broke the ice by saying it was their first time at trollhaugen, I concurred and then we talked about other places I’d boarded, Duluth, Lutsen, which lead to one guy talking about a friend he knew who owned a bed and breakfast in  Grand Marais.
  13. Pair of skis.- This was my last run. Two skinny skiers, one of which was very memorable, maybe cause he was sitting closest to me but also cause he was wearing an orange coat with maroon snow pants.
  14. I did not only go on 13 runs there were a few times I was not asked and didn’t have the guts to ask and so I rode alone, But those parts were not nearly as interesting.

Just to add a little imagery to how I ended my brief relationship with all these people I’d like to tell you that I have recently invented the Circle Dismount. Because I do not have a stomp pad, whenever I gett of the chair lift I am a little out of control, this most of the night lead me to spinning in a cute little circle at the top of the hill.

And just so you all know nothing is more empowering than snowboarding to the song Crazy frog!

Entry Forty-Nine: Much needed day off today. Had leftover sweet potatoes for breakfast. Stumbled around on Tumblr for a bit, then I got ready to go out. Went to hair place today. Made an appointment for 1 o'clock then ran to the grocery store I had an hour and 20 minutes I made it back in an hour and seven. Finally bought myself some kiwi so delicious. Got milk, a watch, and some toothpaste. I was so shocked because the watch said that it was $30 but then when I rang it up it was only eight, saved a bunch of money. After running home and putting away the groceries. I walked to the hair place. The people there were super nice they offered me tea and coffee they gave me a scalp massage when they washed my hair. And now I’m all clean-cut and no longer shaggy. When I got home I of course checked Tumblr again. And ate a kiwi, it was perfect.
