❝you’ve got to be what you want to be ❞

The word cute doesn’t even begin to describe Mckinley. She’s as adorable as a mouse to say the least. Ever since she was a child she grew up being in the spotlight. Her parents were well known around her town, then the state, then the country, all because of her dad’s political work. Growing up she always was taught to be perfect. Mckinley was in the public eye and any mishap could destroy her father’s career. It was always ‘Chin up and smile.’  or ‘Remember, they’re all looking at you. Don’t do anything stupid now Mckinley’. It was fine for years, she never had any problem with living that life. She had everything, money, friends, loving parents, popularity. In her mind she was living the life. That was until she started getting older.

After she turned 13 she began to realize how terrible her life really was. Everyday the tabloids had new gossip about her, or her family. Her friends didn’t actually like her, they liked her fame and her money. Even her parents were fake, back at the house they were at each other’s throats. It took her thirteen years to realize that everything she’d always thought she had was simply an illusion. Her entire life was a mirage. Nothing was real, and she was lost, unsure of what to do or where to go. As it started becoming time for her to go to high school her parents considered sending her off to a fancy school in France, but instead settled on Walt Academy after Mckinley had an incident. During a conference she was found with a waiter in the supply closet, the man who found them claimed they were moments from having sex. Although the truth was he was simply kissing him, they’d been together for ages, but she could never tell her parents. They wouldn’t approve of her dating a waiter, instead they saw it as  a problem that needed to be fixed.  

Now at Walt she’s able to get away from the spotlight. She’s a very sweet girl, and extremely loving. Mckinley’s there if anyone needs anything and has a giggle as sweet as candy. She hopes to please everyone and tries her best to do so. Nevertheless, she feels inadequate, everyone expects so much of her, especially her parents. Sometimes she doubts herself completely, and sees herself as nothing special at all. Although, she does have a lot of power around school. Everyone respects her, seeing as though she’s from such a high society family. At the same time, lots of people hate her guts, they say she’s a fake. Pick a side for yourself because she’s not going anywhere.
